I’ve had now 10+ transactions with this shop. The prices are always fair even in a volatile market, he even honored a prior deal we had in place even after spot price jumped up. The owner goes over and above to also accommodate specialty vintage pieces he knows I collect.

I brought an ancient coin in to sell. Ultimately decided to keep it, but they provided me with a very reasonable price. The guys were great to deal with and would highly recommend the store.

From the minute I walked in, I was treated with warmth, patience respect, and professionalism. The way they handle things is prompt, courteous and with an attention to detail, explaining everything and more than willing to answer any questions you may have. When they say they'll get back to you at a certain time, take it to the bank. I'd go back to Jesse without hesitation. Honesty is paramount and I have zero doubts about this place. They more than earned my trust with the items I brought in. I'm so thankful to the person who first recommended them to me.

I previously liked this shop and I have bought from them and sold to them several times. However, today I was selling a gold bar to them. The spot price shown online at various places was $4,221 and had been in the $4220's for several days. But the counter man told me "I have $4200," and I accepted the deal. I wish I had asked him to check again, or explain how his version of the spot price was different from everyone else's, but I thought that's probably just how they do it, round off or something. I would have been happier if he had used the actual spot price, but the offer might have come out the same anyway. I received $4080 for an ounce of pure gold. I think I could have gotten more elsewhere. I don't think I will be dealing with them again. UPDATE (12/23/25). I just discovered that two of the thirteen silver rounds I bought from them ten years ago are silver-plated copper.

Excellent shop. The store is clean, well-organized, and professional. The staff is knowledgeable, honest, and takes the time to explain everything without pressure. I felt completely comfortable and confident doing business here. Highly recommend. I will be back!

New owners have friendly service but i don’t feel sure that I will get the best (most transparent) deal here anymore. I always did with the previous owner. They’re a friendly bunch of guys working here now that will be kind and patient but I just suggest checking with other shops first if you want to know who has the best offers. I preferred the grumpy old man with low overhead. Best wishes for these gentleman taking over and Long Live John in his literal golden years👌🏽
