I've been buying various items at Petersburg Pawn for about 20-15 yrs. They have a wide variety to choose from some items are brand new if not they are in almost new condition. When I was watching a lot of DVD movies a few yrs back I could always count on them to have a good one to watch and they were only $1.00 I think I bought about 120 DVD's, time to sell them back. I've also bought some power tools but my latest obsession is jewelry I've purchased 2 rings and have one on lay-a-way. They've got a nice collection and it's nice that they have a lay-a-way plan.. go check them out... But don't buy any ladies rings unless they are a size 7 and up

Avoid this place. Besides the place being a dump, they don’t even have heat in the building. I have been a contractor for 40 years and enjoy searching pawn shops for deals on tools. I was about to spend almost 1000.00 on tools. As I was walking around looking at their inventory, a guy walks up to me and asks me to walk outside with him. Thinking he was going to give me a great price on everything I was going to purchase. He tells me, to stay out of the store because they think I was there to stealing items. I offered them to search me, but they said it wasn’t necessary. I would never go back, and will tell everyone I know about my experience. Reading reviews it seems to be a common practice

Petersburg pawn is in the way very unprofessional worker’s they lie and give you the run around and you could never speak with the boss never again the only reason I gave 1 star is because I had to choose at least one cause they would have got a zero star rating from me!!!

This is by far the best pawn shop I’ve been to from Richmond to Petersburg to prince george and I’ve been to dozens including the world famous Vegas pawn shop featured on tv the quality of the merchandise is outstanding but it’s the home vibe I get from their employees that really keep me coming back if I could rate 10* I would they not only work with you do a lot of work with the community behind closed doors but Dave the owner & his guys are by far the friendliest and most experienced pawners I’ve met great job guys and thank you for serving our community in more ways than 1 keep doing what y’all do best and I’ll keep coming back with all my family and friends as well as spreading the word!!!
