Big Bear Coin is an excellent shop well worth visiting. It's a respectable and honest business, led by a kind husband and wife and supported by a great team who are always welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable. I find their prices to be fair on both sides of buy/sell transactions. Located within Stony Point Mall, the store is clean, spacious, and well-organized -- showcasing not only coins and bullion, but also other collectibles like cards, comics, gems, and sports memorabilia. They also provide a family-friendly atmosphere, with activities to keep the kids entertained, such as coloring sheets and even bearded dragons!
I went there and sold a good amount of my high-end coins back around the end of May beginning of June. They gave me a very fair price and had no problem paying out almost $6,000!!! A lot of coin companies around Richmond just aren’t prepared to pay out like that. Big Bear also gave me a realistic price for my coins instead of trying to lowball me because the coins might sit for awhile!!! Highly recommend them for any selling!!!
I wanted to sell my small coin collection. The Big Bear owner helped me and was very fair, even showing me the references he used to establish value. They paid me 10 to 15% more than I expected. Nice store with lots of inventory and honest merchants.
I finally had an opportunity to visit the storefront after watching many of their shows on whatnot, @bigbearcoin. They have a nice clean store with everything displayed easily for viewing. I was immediately greeted when entering and told not to hold back any questions. I came in for a Valcambi gram holder and they gave me a nice little discount and a sweet canvas loot bag for free. I was kind of in a hurry today but I can’t wait for visit again with my boys. I always look forward to your whatnot shows as well. Thanks again for having me.
