Fantastic coin shop check it out if you in the area
Great selection and wide variety. If you're looking for coin shop, these are your guys. Both owners are very polite and knowledgeable! I will definitely be coming back :)
This is exactly what a local small business is all about. Two hard working guys, Dave and Eric, making it in a business that they obviously love. I was calling around to find a place to purchase some silver and gold. I found a couple of places in Richmond, but they didn’t seem to have the time to discuss what they had to offer, and frankly, I didn’t get the sense that they look out for the customer, rather just the sale. Then I was referred to Colonial Coins and Collectibles by a local coin collector. I called and spoke to Dave and right away I knew I found the right place. Dave answered all of my questions and found what I was looking for; we made a great, honest deal. Dave and Eric are true to their word, don’t rush you out the door once you make your purchase, and answer all of the questions you may have…and I had many being someone new to the world of coins and purchasing gold and silver. Trust is everything…invest in your local small business, it’s what makes our community what it is. Had an amazing experience at the shop. Not only were the two gentlemen, extremely knowledgeable and educational, They were extremely forthcoming with worthiness of my collection. Highly recommended.
Dave allowed me, and my two boys, to visit his store on his off day and thoughtfully educated me on coins that my father had left behind. He meticulously went through each coin (foreign and domestic) and gave me insight into their value and what to look for. There was no pressure to sell and he was very honest. Plus on the way out, my boys got to pick from the “Kids Coin Box”. They walked out with both a memory, some coin knowledge, and a cool souvenir!
They appraised a gold piece I had and gave me a very fair price! The jeweler I went to before offered less than half of what it was worth. If you’re looking to sell this is the place! Super friendly knowledgeable guys, would definitely recommend!
