The entire staff is excellent and always so friendly, Cassandra is the one I personally know better. The selection is great, I believe they offer customs also, the store is inviting and clean, and I would consider the prices fair, whether you are selling or buying. They are reasonable, I’m pretty mindful of the demographic and with consideration of it being in a small town.

AMAZING vintage selection, reasonable repair pricing, and a great place to sell gold. The wonderful owner, manager, jeweler, and sales associates there really know their stuff. Plus two canine friends are often on the premises offering love. My boyfriend and I recently purchased a vintage ring here that they are resetting with an Alexandrite. This ring is going to be my engagement ring and I couldn't be happier. Will post photos later!

What an adorable little shop! The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable! If you have gold or silver to sell this is the place to go! They are so transparent. I've previously sold several pieces to a well known long time gold and silver shop in the area but The Velvet Case is by FAR the better option! If you are in the market for jewelry this is also the place to shop...so many vintage and one of a kind pieces that you could never find in the online jewelry space. Oh, and they have the most lovely little shop doggie!

I went to this location today just before noon to sell my now unneeded wedding band. A custom design created and made of 18kt gold and 22 small diamonds by Nrw York jewelry designer Alexander Sepkus. Apparently the owner was working with another customer, so the assistant took it over, looked under the microscope for about a minute, then asked the owner to look...and before she even did I heard her tell the assistant "it's costume jewelry"...and the assistant came back to me that they would offer $600...I felt I was given short- shrift by the store and needless to say I rejected that offer. With the spot gold prices at $445 to $500 back when I bought this, to the $4,212 where the spot price is today- not even factoring in the value of the diamonds which do not lose value over time, I can day I was disappointed by this forced off experience. I guess Rockys Gold in Weyers Cave or Kay jewelers perhaps is next.

I took some important pieces to a jeweler in my town and afterward to The Velvet Case. To my surprise, The Velvet Case gave me 30% more for the pieces. The staff and owner were knowledgeable, fair and very pleasant to work with like all their staff. I felt good about the whole transaction and I highly recommend them.

My mother (local) and I (live in Oregon) have sold jewelry here multiple times. They are honest and fair, and we have been pleasantly surprised at how much they pay. Plus, you can't help but love these ladies! They are so sweet and so much fun! It's worth it to me to bring things to sell when I come across the country to visit. Also, if you want beautiful, high quality jewelry at reasonable prices, this is the place. Can't say enough good! We highly recommend!!
