I had a great experience here when liquidating a large cash of pre 1964 US 90% silver coins. The spot price was checked, the offer was fair and the transaction was fast. Too, I was surprised at their inventory of collectable coins. I am a Walking Liberty hald dollar collector and they had some nice walkers both raw and certified. A great shop. Have been back many times. In 2022 their blog suggested gold and silver bullion was underpriced. It was spot on. (No pun intended). The advice is honest and prices usually beat the big nation guys on bullion sine you avoid shipping and insurance costs - which are built into prices. Recommended.

I called several dealers before them because I want to maximize how much I sell my coins for. I told the rep what I have and he said they don’t give prices over the phone. So far they’re the only one with that policy.

Probably the Best bullion dealer in the DC area. I have called about a dozen dealers in the DC area to enquire about their price for Silver, Gold, and Platinum and believe me all of them were trying to take advantage of me with some offeing almost 50% below spot. I had almost given up when I finally decided to call Cameo and I couldn't first believe what I heard " ALMOST SPOT". It is Good to know that real dealers don't behave like Pawn Shops, they value you as a human being and your time. Excellent customer service. I have dealt with Cameo Coins the last few years after acquiring some coins from my father who has been a serious collector for decades. In completing my due diligence as a novice in the selling of coins, I visited a number of dealers in the area and did business with a couple. By far, the experience I have had dealing with Cameo has led me to using them as my buyer. To me the biggest factor, even more so than price, is the level of trust you put into a dealer like this. I agree with some of the other posts in that you need to at least do some homework on the value of what you are bringing in. Look at many sources; EBay being the least realistic in my experience. Cameo will be upfront with what they feel the value is and will tell you when they are aren’t really interested. So far, they have far exceeded other dealers in their offers, and I have dealt mostly in coins, where value is tougher to determine than plain bullion. Well run family operation!

I love this place! They’ve been the premier NOVA coin dealer for over 30 years with a great staff of experts who are professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable and more than fair. I’ve been to many coin shops across the U.S., I’ve yet to see anything close to as comparable to Cameo Coins impressive coin selection. I’ve also sold gold and silver to them and got the best price possible, much more than the “we buy gold” charlatan shops. Check them out, you’d be doing yourself a huge disservice if not. Wow! I could not be more please with my interactions at Cameo! Went in for the first time with my 9 year old daughter this past weekend. The staff was super knowledgeable and willing to help. They engaged my daughter by showing her ancient coins and fun old paper currency. Loved it! When it came time for me to make a purchase, the prices and selection FAR exceeded my expectations. I made a purchase and left....and went back 30 minutes later to buy several other things. Today(the very next business day they were open), I went back in and had another top-notch experience and paid a great price! This shop knows how to treat people they way it used to be done...the right way! I can not recommend these folks enough. You will enjoy your visit and walk out knowing you shopped at the right place.
