Don't go here. You want to believe that they will treat you fairly because he use to be a fair man. However they only take what they want and they have 0 knowledge of rare coins and their value, straight up, they don't know coins. They will only offer you maybe 50% value. Don't waste your time anymore.

I have been there a handful of times over the last couple of months selling gold and was always treated fairly. Today I went in to sell a little bit of gold, 2.8 grams of 14k, and was offered $32. I thought it was a joke. They told me gold was going for $4,444.44 an ounce and the owner offered me $32 for over $400 worth of gold. The owner has health and mental problems and if they let him keep trying to rip off people, he will ruin their reputation and they will go under. Absolutely ridiculous.

August 02, 2024 Been to this store a handful of times over the past couple years. Nice place. Decent selection. Very clean and organized inside. Sometime after 1pm on 8/2/24, I stopped in to see if they were interested in any of my coins or silver bars. The first employee I talked to was straight forward with me, telling me that they were gonna be more interested in Gold. Sure thing. Pulled out some slabbed gold coins. He looked them over and went to get a gentleman who was in a wheelchair. I had met and sold to this gentleman one of my previous times in the store. As he was looking over the coins, another employee came over, interested in seeing what was there. First thing he mentioned was about not knowing that fractional gold buffalos existed. I explained to him that they were a one year thing with the us mint. Gentleman in the wheelchair asked me what I was looking to get for the 2-1/10th buffalos. I said $700 each. The guy I had just explained the specific year of fractional buffalos to, pushed them back to me, scoffed and said "no, $700 for a 1/10 gold?!?!?" I want to make it clear, I understand that this place needs to make money. I asked for lower than the lowest SOLD comparison on EBay. I was prepared for someone to look them up and throw out a counter offer. Or a simple, "we re not interested" would have sufficed. Instead, I was scoffed at while having them rudely pushed back to me. I have been in the hobby of metals and coins for almost 5 years now. I love learning about them. I don't expect anyone to be super knowledgeable on every coin. But perhaps when you don't know about something, before being rude and interjecting, take a couple minutes to do some research. It doesn't lead me to believe that this establishment is one that anyone needs to go to. The not knowing, or unwilling to pay a certain amount is understandable. Don't be rude and insulting to your customers, it makes them not want to deal with you at all. I could’ve been offer $1000 for each coin after that interaction and I still would have walked right out. I would like to apologize to the gentleman in the wheelchair and first guy who helped me. The rudeness of the 3rd employee had me gather all my stuff up and leave immediately. I will not be back. I would only recommend this place to someone that wants leave offended and mistreated.

I was shocked to see so many negative reviews. I sold 2 rings there and after getting an estimate from another local store I was pleasantly surprised to have a very fair offer for my rings. The staff was kind, generous and patient. I would recommend this store to a friend or family member

I was referred to this little, outdated shop while looking to sell a few pieces of jewelry for the first time in my life mainly because the price of gold has tripled and I don’t wear certain things anymore. I know what was paid for the item about 10 years ago and now with gold 3x you would think it would be the perfect opportunity to sell it. The gentleman at the counter tested it, I heard the buzzer and the tester say β€œdiamonds.” After a few diamonds he says, β€œit’s real gold, let me check with β€”β€” and see if we could resale something like this.” Gentlemen returns and says β€œthe stones don’t seem to be set evenly, so we would just consider it scrap and that would be worth about $95.” 😳🀯πŸ₯ΈπŸ«£πŸ§ Original price was $680 (on sale) 14k gold, 5 diamonds, 5 sapphire, $95 to scrap it… 😣 And what exactly were they planning on doing with the diamonds and sapphires? All while being rushed in the middle of conversation that the store β€œneeded to be closing up” (spoke over us to make it loud and clear, while I was trying to get directions). Look, I know people make mistakes, we’re human. We all have bad/hard days or whatever you wanna call it but please don't treat people like that/this. I can only imagine some of the things they may encounter and deal with over time but there’s no excuse for that behavior. I’ll unfortunately have to share my experience now in an attempt to keep someone else from being treated poorly and wasting their time. Just a remember: Most people will forget what you said but they won’t ever forget how you made them FEEL. Just a simple inquiry, close friend says β€œgo to 4 Star Coins & Jewelry”, that I drove out of my way for, turned in to a rude insult and nothing short of patronizing me. I’m so sorry this ended this way. Gentleman at the counter, thank you for at least finishing your sentence to give me directions I had asked for. β€”DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
