Would give 0/5 if possible. Tried to buzz in at the door. They said they would connect me to somebody else and then left me standing there with no response. Response to you: I waited at the locked door for more than 5 minutes after getting no reply from anybody. Secondly, I WAS wearing my yellow mask with red stripes and you can go check your doorbell camera to verify!! Don’t lie to try to save face. Terrible business practices.
Rarcoa has been redlined due to canceling a check for $23,000 and unethical business practices. Despite having a relationship with these guys since I was 14 years old they decided to cancel a check for just over $23,000 written to a friend of mine for a deal I sold them at the ANA worlds fair of money coin show on August 8th 2024. This family friend asked me to sell some coins she inherited since she remembered I used to buy and sell coins. I helped her out as a favor and sold them to Rado Boltryk an employee of rarcoa because of the relationship I had with them prior. I figured they would pay fairly for the coins and that their check would be good. Rado came up with the total all on his own and wrote the check addressed to the family friend along with giving me an invoice. The next day Rado called me claiming I owed rarcoa $1695 for an error he made on the transaction. He stated I needed to pay rarcoa back. I told him that I did this as a favor and would need to reach out to the friend who already had the check in her possession. The next morning Rado texted me to tell me that they had canceled the check and that I could pick up a new one from them at the coin show. I live an hour and a half from the coin show without traffic. He was expecting me to give up a full day of my time to rectify his mistake. All the while he claimed that it wasn’t his mistake and offered no apology or rationality that he screwed up. Upset that they wanted to unwind a done deal by canceling the check with the gold in their possession I drove down to their office in willowbrook to demand payment in full. Upon arrival the employees wouldn’t see me and didn’t want to let me in until a FedEx delivery arrived. It took close to an hour for them to realize I was serious and send an EFT payment to my friend for the money minus the $1695 that they claim to have overpaid by. The next Tuesday they sent out a defaming false statement on CCE the main dealer trading platform that I was redlined by rarcoa due to unethical business practices. This is completely false unless you consider demanding a return of your money after a business cancels the check while retaining the property unethical (this is in fact considered theft). I am astonished and disappointed that an establishment with employees who I once considered friends would do something like this. Rarcoa has been in business for over 70 years but unfortunately their previous reputation means nothing to them. If you want to do business with rarcoa only accept cash or a wire transfer. Anything else risks being canceled.
