I really don't understand the hate people have for this place. I've purchased guitars, watches and games from AF Pawn and never had an issue with a price since we negotiate. Never sold to them however, but don't know that experience. It's a pawn shop, ya go in looking for a fair deal, not a great deal since they are a for profit business. I was never mistreated and I like the straight to business talk. The dog helps the comfort to.. As soon as you start to realize why you are there and quit looking for the customer is always right environment, you leave there feeling good about the transaction. Pretty straight forward.

I went into buy nintendo switch games and they had alot, but for good reason almost all the games were priced above retail price. When I told him that and asked if he would adjust the price he told me he could take only 10%off. I was like bro you got these games marked up 8 dollars above retail your delusional. Also they were selling a compact makita router for 120. When you can buy them for 100 bucks brand new most of the time. I honestly wonder how they sell anything. I wouldn't trust they're gun collection as well if they can't even price games or tools correctly.
They were pretty good on their rates. Its a pawn shop so they are going to low ball you no matter where you go if you want a good price for your stuff your selling DONT go to a pawn shop... They were bought average on prices, its the service, attitude, atmosphere was not very inviting or welcoming with no smiles to be found. They do have a ton of stuff pretty cool stuff and good deals so I'll give em that over all not the best.
My experience at American Fork Pawn Shop was fantastic. I was looking for a very particular item and after extensive research, this place was the only one to have it in over an hour all directions. Not only did they have my desired item, but it was fairly priced too. While I was at the shop, I looked around and was surprised at the wide range of items available. Electronics, sports equipment, jewelry, weapons, tools, video games, movies, and more are to be found there. The man running the counter (I presume was the owner) was helpful and professional. I laugh at many of the other reviews of this place because there's no way I could have such a great experience if this place were that bad. 10/10 worth checking out for yourself.
It is hard to give this place, the benefit of doubt, especially considering all of the negative reviews. Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t any better, I went in looking for some electronics and asked the long-haired guy behind the counter about an iPad behind the display case. I noticed that the price was two to $300 more than Items online in similar condition and with similar specs. The guy was dismissive, and also said that he had someone that was interested in purchasing it. I don’t think that makes it any better, I think that makes it worse. Especially considering the high prices and low offers seem to be common. You don’t really want to make a reputation of taking advantage of your customers. I won’t pretend to know what’s going on in this guy‘s life, or the financial status of his business but hopefully things get better and the business builds a better reputation. For now, I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Never go here. Most rude customer service I have ever experienced in my life and I have had a very long and experience-filled life. Waited about 5 minutes of nobody around for the “long haired guy” to finally show up and I was honestly confused at first if he was a customer or employee based on his attitude. He was extremely rude and dismissive. He acted as if me standing there at the counter was an insult to his existence. He immediately degraded the item I brought and acted like I was a fool for putting it before his eyes. Said it was worth absolutely nothing and questioned why I thought it was a good idea to even waste his time by bringing it there. Well I went to EZ Pawn in Orem and they gave me $100 for the same item that was apparently a piece of junk to Mr. Long Hair. Go to EZ pawn they’re awesome! Go to EZ Pawn!! I’ve seen several other reviews about the “long haired” bully, but in my opinion, if you are going to treat people like that then you shouldn’t be in customer service. But I’m sure there’s an unlucky desperate fool that comes by once a month that he can swindle and make his money for the month. Then he can treat everyone else like they just insulted him by showing up. NEVER GO HERE !!!!!!!!!! GO TO EZ PAWN! It’s worth the drive. Or at least another store. Let’s stop giving these human-haters business so we can maybe make them move locations or shut down and make mr long hair try customer service anywhere else because it won’t work
