I saw google took this down so here it is: Feb 12th, 2026 Tried to sell a standard 1 oz silver coin here today and walked out feeling completely insulted. Spot price is sitting right around $83–$84 (checked multiple sources like google and APMEX), and this place had the audacity to offer me just $70 flat. That’s over $13–$14 BELOW spot—straight-up 16%+ off the current market value! For context, even the greediest dealers around Houston are typically only $2–$5 back of spot for generics, maybe a bit more for Eagles in a slow market. $70 feels like highway robbery, treating sellers like we don’t know any better. The other coin buyer I talked to is paying just $2 under spot—night and day difference. This place made me feel taken advantage of and disrespected as a customer. Won’t be back, and I’ll be warning everyone I know to shop around or just sell online/elsewhere. Absolute joke. Avoid if you’re selling. Or. Avoid talking to the young guy with glasses

I discovered the Houston Gold Buyers in the last few months. My experience has been Great and satisfying. I'm not new to precious metals, however, this shop offers great prices, professional, knowledgeable people and honest deals. That starts with Pete, the owner and friendly sales associates, Wesley and Juan.I highly recommend this place for your buying or selling items.

Avoid the Humble location. I’ve sold hundreds of Silver eagles there, and today, the dolt refused turned my coins away because a 2002 brilliant uncirculated eagle that had been encased had for 23 years, had some toning. Coin surely would have graded MS-68 or above. I will never go there again. I just needed a little gas money until payday.

Avoid this shady gold shop at all costs! I reached out in the DMs about selling some brand-new gold jewelry I just bought from Zales—a 2g gold bar necklace in 14K and 24K, plus a solid 14K bracelet. They initially quoted me $675, which seemed fair based on the weights and current gold prices. But then they pulled this total scam move: after “testing” it, they claimed it was lower than 14K and that the clasps were copper (which is BS because Zales sells legit solid gold pieces). Suddenly, they dropped the offer to a pathetic $420, like my stuff was fake or something. It’s not—it’s straight from a reputable store, untouched and with all the stamps! They straight-up lied to lowball me and pressure a quick sale. Felt like a classic rip-off tactic. Don’t waste your time here; go to a real jeweler or appraiser instead. 1 star, and that’s generous.

This is one of Houston’s best Gold/Silver and Coin dealers. Their family owned business and staff has a wealth of knowledge and always a pleasure speaking with! After years experience in purchasing and selling, they’ve always been great with their pricing and offers. Their selection is without a doubt, something that changes all the time and really keeps it interesting, especially for a coin collector and stacker. I’m always greeted with the smiling face and the eagerness to help. I can’t go on without saying one of the best with overall customer service in mind.
