The shop is clean and neat. The employee I had the pleasure of working with was John and was very nice in helping me with my MPC collection. Gave me pointers on how to grade my own, gave references for books and invited me to the coin convention. At the end I left with great new pieces for my collection and more knowledge. My experience with doing business with them has been more than great!!

Although very knowledgeable, I was very shocked at the way we were spoken to yesterday by the young man behind the counter. We’ve been here a few times before and have never been treated this way. I’m not sure if the young man was having a bad day, but that’s still no reason to speak to customers that way. We walked in and started by saying hello and asking the young man if he had a nice Thanksgiving. We were responded with a very harsh no and then a stare. We think proceeded to explain why we were there and upon doing so we were screamed at. His words “NO IT DOES NOT!!! IM TIRED OF PEOPLE SAYING IT SAYS THAT!!” Number one, we were going off of what we had seen and heard. Number two, just because other people have said it and I’m assuming have made this young man aggravated, that was no way to speak to a customer who had nothing to do with what other customers have said. Then while speaking to the older gentleman after being blatantly disrespected by being screamed at, my husband started sneezing. My husband always sneezes 3 times. The young man turns and looks at my husband from the other side of the store and instead of being respectful and saying “God Bless You”, instead he says “What’s wrong with you” Needless to say we will not be going back here ever again. Please take the time to speak to this young man about screaming at customers and being disrespectful.

Looking up the phone number I saw a disturbing review number. I looked into it and there were a number if unwarranted and unfair comments. I have known the principal owner of Lowcountry Coins, Bill, for several years and he never ceases to amaze me with his knowledge, honesty and expertise. Kudos to him also as an honorable fellow veteran, although he chose the Navy (Aim high Air Force!). I recently came into his shop and was looking to sell a few of my gold coins. He gave me an offer for them that was extremely fair and also ushered in unbiased, sound advice going forward in regards with them. He has the heart of a teacher and there is always something you can take away from listening to his wisdom. Anyone thinking of buying, selling or trading coins/currency needs to definitely give Lowcountry Coins a chance to earn your business.

LowCountryCoin is easily one of the best shops around. Bill, the owner, and his employees are always super helpful and genuinely know their stuff. They take the time to walk you through prices, grades, and options without ever making you feel rushed or pressured. Also, a very trustworthy shop to get your coins certified/ appraised. I used to bounce around a few different shops, but now I only go to low country coin.
