Weird experience at this location. Was handed the wrong smiski so I corrected the worker and thought I was going to be mauled. Tread lightly and be safe.

cool store

Really great sunglasses selection. Got posters for my dorm here. Also pet all of the stuffed animals in the store. If you bought a stuffed animal here, just know that I have shown it love. That should be comforting. Also they do sell Rubik’s cubes but those Rubik’s cubes are $17 which I think is just the price of a Rubik’s cube but it surprised me so I wanted you to know in advance. Store workers were very helpful in assisting me to the location of the Rubik’s cubes though.

It’s a very interesting store. Many books and toys.

Super cool place right here in Rhode Island palace mall have absolutely everything you could ever imagine. Socks shirts, anything you need Staff is really cool friendly hung around for at least 20 minutes. Just checking out the awesome stuff that they had.

I recently got back into Pokémon trading cards just for fun my friends and I will buy a pack here and there. But Jesus, Newbury Comics seriously overprices their cards. I wouldn’t give this place a dime for trading cards. The store itself is cool for other things, but definitely not for this. I understand the older card packs that are retired but the current stuff that is x2 market value?!

Newbury Comics has been my favorite "nerd store" for several years now. You know the type. Of course they have the requisite Funko pops, books (anime and non), vinyl and CDs, plushies and action figures, mugs, and novelties. But they carry so many unique and interesting things other similar stores don't. It's hard to describe exactly what. It's just novelties on a deeper and more obscure level. For example, this trip we found a Svengoolie toy and action figures of the Sesame Street Meeping Martians. Like, who has that in 2025? This specific location also has a collection of hyper specific Rhode Island merchandise. I got a hot wieners shirt a few years back, and every time I wear it back home in California I get hilarious looks and questions. A true conversation starter. All thanks to the variety found here!
