Fantastic shop. I visit local coin shops when traveling, these days most are bullion dealers with a dash of numismatics, if at all. While Coins Plus certainly has plenty of bullion, Mr Karoleff is a supremely knowledgeable numismatist and, having personally watched a buy-side transaction, can confirm he treats his customers well, dealing fairly. They are a pleasure to do business with. Friendly, fair, and knowledgeable. I recently stopped in with some jewelry that my wife no longer wears, and they gave me a very competitive price and wrote the check on the spot. I went to a couple of jewelry stores first and they sent the stuff away and I had to wait for their quote, which was unsatisfactory.
Lovely shop and very kind staff. I was searching for Christmas gifts for my wife, and these kind folks had a beautiful set of coins and notes from which to select. Brad was clearly a master, well studied in the history of currency and monetary exchange, and he was quite generous with sharing his time and knowledge with me to select the perfect gift.
