Website clearly says “we buy paper currency”. No they do not so don’t waste your time trying at this place. I did call a week before I went and was told they purchase “old” currency. I took about 10 notes. I was honestly thinking he might only take 4 of them. He wanted, 2…. 1 being one I thought he would and the other not. I literally told him I’d take what I paid for it 7 years ago and I was going to take a 50% loss on the other. When that wasn’t good enough he passed. When I said I was surprised he didn’t want one of the others he told me, that he didn’t want any. I was just testing the waters. He had little to no knowledge of paper currency or current pricing. I guess when you go to a pawn shop with dust on everything. They may not purchase anything, but scrap metals…

I've been up and down Manatee County trying to find the best deals on precious metals and Eastern Numismatics was the only one offering *realistic* prices on Silver during this period of volatility(1/19/2026). Competitors were 30%-50% lower than spot ($55 on $90 of silver), EN was closer to 5%-10% which is understandable with current risk. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly which is an important difference. Many competitors have younger disinterested staff who offer no flexibility. The shop offers some incredible pieces as well and makes sure to preserve original patinas on old jewelry and silverware. It's difficult to find time on workdays to make it into the shop but I will definitely be returning.
