⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an excellent experience today (Wednesday 2/25) at Coin Exchange in Hartsdale. If you’re looking to sell gold or silver and want a fair, straightforward transaction with knowledgeable professionals, this is the place. The building itself is large, easy to find on Central Ave, and has convenient handicap access right in front. Inside, the showroom is surprisingly spacious and well organized. They carry an impressive variety of coins — rare pieces, international coins, special editions, full sets — in both silver and gold. They also have gold bars, a select collection of high-value Pokémon cards, and even a small but tasteful watch selection. It’s clearly a serious operation with real inventory — not just a counter and a scale. I worked with Mike today, and both he and Scott were easy to deal with, transparent, and professional. Most importantly, they gave me very fair pricing on my metals. If you’ve ever sold gold or silver before, you know that trust and pricing are everything — and I felt completely comfortable throughout the process. I originally learned about Coin Exchange through a long-time friend who owns a well-known jewelry store in Scarsdale and frequently uses them for customer gold and silver transactions. That referral alone spoke volumes, and after today’s experience, I understand why. Whether you’re a collector, an investor, or someone simply looking to sell old jewelry or bullion and get treated fairly, Coin Exchange is worth the visit. I’ll definitely be back — and next time I plan to spend more time exploring their collection. Highly recommended.

I toke some quarters the coin exchange to cash, without even looking the young said for me to just spend them..I told her they were appraised and for to just check the value...As I was talking a man walked ad said that they meant nothing because of the year on them. I tried to explain they had different backings from different places, one had an Eagle flying on it.They just refused to look at the coins. He then stated that he's had these conversations with people all the time. And said don't believe anything on line because it's not true but still never looked at the coins so I proceeded to take my coins. Put them back in my wallet and proceeded to walk out the door as I was walking out the door he continued to speak very aggressively to me. I told him my father had them appraised, but I didn't know where he had an appraised and I cannot ask him because my father recently passed away as I opened the door to step out, he then stated, why don't you take those coins to the store where they were appraised at and don't come back. Not a good place.I will never go there again for anything and if anybody goes there be beware of the man. I then found another place and only gave them 3 of my quarters.And I received three hundred dollars Both the men and the young lady were both rude.If I didn't have to give this place a review , I would give it a zero

Was placing an order and repeatedly got merchant errors. They took all my personal information to create an account, but see no way to login and see orders, etc. Item I was ordering is no longer listed and I can't get help from Coin Exchange NY. I frankly am not confident in their system and customer service.

Just took a few coins that had some value a few silver coin but they had value didn’t look at them all they looked at was if they were silver. And wanted to pay melt price. Just threw the history of the coin’s value in the garbage. And reason why they valuable. Do not waste your time going to this place for that go to pawn shop

I read the courtesy part from other people and I am partially agree. I simply asked what I was interested and got quick brush off. Most business stores, refer you to another location. Once I saw coins taken out of their see through paper holders to be toast to on top of others coins, I change my impression of that place. They claim to only deal with high value coins but collectors don't just turn properly preserved coins into a pile to deteriorate.

Six years ago I purchased almost $30,000 worth of junk silver Franklins from this company. With the recent uptick in silver prices, I purchased a sigma metalytics tester I decided to test all of my silver. Almost 10% of the coins from Coin Exchange NY are fakes! I am very upset to now find this out and wish I would have tested them immediately after receiving them. I normally would buy silver from reputable dealers like Apmex and JM bullion, but decided to go with this eBay deal because I saved (so I thought) 5% on a large purchase. Little did I know that they were going to sneak in more fakes than what I thought I was saving. A very untrustworthy company to be certain. I of course will never buy anything from them again, but I also want to warn others about my experience so that you do not fall for the same trap.
