Very unique location. Very different to other antique stores. Thank you again for the birds.

Holy moly. I just walked in here and had my musical instrument case on me (you absolutely cannot leave instruments in the car in abq for obvious reasons). I politely showed the woman at the counter the contents, literally displaying to her there wasn't room to steal anything in it, and offering to open the case again at check-out. She just started yelling at me about how if she lets me in with a bag (it's a case, not a bag, and there's no other customers in the store... but whatever) then she has to let everyone in with a bag and going on about drug addicts (I believe she called them "crackheads") stealing. To which I mentioned again was my exact reason for keeping my horns on my person and showing her the contents was for her sense of security. I kind of get it- it's a rough stretch of Lomas, but I'm a pretty non-threatening, academic nerdy type with a case full of classical trumpets. Whilst yelling at me without any prevailing logic, a large bearded man emerged threateningly with a hammer (he also saw the contents of my case, as it was open when he entered the scene). This interaction couldn't have taken more than 45 seconds in my estimation to peak escalation. Absolutely insane. Clearly these people were ready for violence and sensing serious danger, I started walking out. To appease the proprietor actively yelling at me and her hammer wielding coworker, I attempted to apologize genuinely for upsetting her, as this was not my intention in the slightest. It really wasn't- my only god's honest intention was to see if they had any used speakers for my ailing stereo set up. Welp, this apology enraged her even more, screaming multiple times, "Now you're trying to be sensitive?!". As I exited, she also shouted behind me about their overwhelming amount of signage (psychotically placed everywhere and all in all-caps), most of which were not about bags. Reading further reviews- it seems this kind of response has happened on a number of occasions- maybe not to this escalation of violence, which compelled me to follow through with this review. TLDR: I walked in, politely showed the contents of my "bag" in a non-threatening way. Was verbally assaulted by the lady at the counter and intimidated by a big dude with a hammer. Nice. Suffice it to say, I do not recommend. Could make some improvements in the customer service dept.

This is the best antique store hands-down in town. I go to all of them, and this is the best one. Great vendors and the management is awesome.

Quite large antique store with an impressive collection, fair prices, ability to haggle over items $30+, lots to look at. The building is quite shabby, and the place can use a little bit more atmosphere, music, etc... and like others have mentioned, the owners aren’t as welcoming as they should be, someone needs to teach them some southern hospitality, I understand that it’s New Mexico, and in a bad part of town, but I really think they could at least be fakey nice. They weren’t that unfriendly to me, but I had a sneaking suspicion that I wasn’t the only one who found them a little bit awkward to interact with, haha! Great Antique store though! Just go in with your best manners and in a good attitude, and you shouldn’t have any problems! :)

I was treated extremely rude by a lady outside. Telling me we couldn’t have our purses we would have to leave them in an unattended locker. We chose to leave them in the truck. Then they locked the doors on us. I have spent hundreds of dollars in their store. I will never go back to that store again!!! The people that have their items in there on consignment might want to go to another consignment store. I will never recommend that store to anyone!! Extremely rude!!! Buyer beware!!!

What happened to what used to be a great store? Oh wait, I think I know... the rude owner! Take pictures when booths offer discounts. Every booth I bought items from were offering discounts and realized after I had paid that the owner DID NOT add the discounts when ringing me up. When I mentioned it to her, she said she knew all of the discounts because she is the owner, obviously not. Once I noted the attitude, I just gave up but it's not right!

This is a beautiful store. However, it’s really more like an antique mall than a flea market as some of the prices are quite high.
