The woman there was rude

Ron & Laurie were an absolute joy to work with. We had my father's collection of coins and valuables after he passed. Ron was knowledgable, informative, and transparent about the information he provided. They spent a great deal of time walking us through the entirety of the collection. They were respectful, kind, and I would not hesitate to send someone in a similar situation their way. While there my wife also noticed a beautiful and tasteful variety of vintage jewelry. We also witnessed several jewelry repair clients come in and out - each treated like family or friends. I will never go anywhere else for coins, jewelry, or estates.

Stopped by with some coins and jewel's. Ron is by far the most honest and attentive person I have met in a long time. Will be returning with more after this initial encounter, and I highly recommend Sparta Coin & Jewelry to anyone who does not know what they have.

Our experiences with Sparta Coin and Jewelry are magnificent! My husband and I have made many purchases from their store, including my wedding band and engagement ring. Ron and Laura are excellent, extremely knowledgeable in this line of service. They take the time to explain in detail any and all questions we have with such appreciation. You could not ask for a better quality product or customer service experience! Their genuine care for each customer and piece of jewelry keeps us coming back!

Owners are both very nice and laid back. They are very fair with pricing if you are looking to sell and also pay the most in the area. I would definitely recommend them! They also sell very nice jewelry with some very unique pieces.

Anyone who finds themselves on the receiving end of a bunch of gold and silver pieces/jewelry that they didn't ask for, don't wear, and have been tasked with "hanging onto," would be well-served to bring them to Ron and his shop. I had so many items that had been left to me years ago, and have just been accumulating dust in the attic. It was incredibly overwhelming, until I finally decided that I'd much rather be overwhelmed by a pile of money instead. :-) Sparta Coin and Jewelry was the only local place with an e-mail address on their site, which, for someone like me with over 145 pieces of stuff they wanted to have a no-cost appraisal for, was immensely important. No way would I have walked into a place right at the start of the holiday season with all the stuff I had without letting them know ahead of time. So, I e-mailed in advance, set up an appointment to bring everything in, and it was the best possible way I could have spent my Saturday morning. Ron spent literally an hour and a half with me, testing, weighing, answering my questions, etc. He was very thorough, very rigorous, and explained to me the process of what he was doing, which I found so fascinating. After all was said and done, I walked away with over $17,000 for what had been sitting in my attic for over a decade. The process was easy, convenient, and I can't recommend Sparta Coin and Jewelry enough. Of course, when I got back, my husband immediately wanted to go through HIS stuff and might be making a trip of his own soon. ;-) Pro tip: If you have A LOT of items like I did, I found it very helpful to put everything in small bead bags ahead of time. It kept everything from getting tangled and made the process much more time efficient. You can get, like, a 100 pack for $2, and they were a lifesaver in terms of organization, both in prepping to bring the items over, and in taking home what I wasn't able to sell. Overall, Sparta Coin and Jewelry was a wonderful place to transact my gold and silver sale, and I will DEFINITELY be sending more people that way. (Likely, my husband's next.) :-)
