I’ve always enjoyed antique shopping and have visited before, but during my most recent visit I was told I needed to place my purse in a locker due to a “large bag” policy. My purse was a medium-sized crossbody. I understand that stores have to take precautions against shoplifting as l I’ve worked in retail myself but, the way this was handled made me feel unwelcome. After placing my purse in a locker, I noticed other customers (who were not black) with similar-sized bags were not asked to do the same. That inconsistency made the situation feel uncomfortable and, unfortunately, like profiling. Because of this experience, I don’t feel comfortable returning or recommending the store.

Great people, great collection of items to the point that trying to name them would take way too long. They change up the booths regularly so theres always something new each time I go.

The River Market Antiques in Kansas City MO is a must stop and see when looking for an amazing antique shopping and finding experience. On four levels, there is pretty much everything one can look for. All is very well organized, very friendly environment, with a very helpful store team. My score a strong 4.8.

This place is MASSIVE!!! Make sure you allot at least 2 hours, if not 3, to really look at everything! There’s something for everyone! I was visiting Kansas City from PA and I’m so glad we went here!!! Highly recommend! The top floor is all vintage clothing! I’m definitely not a vintage clothing expert, but it seemed unique compared to other stores I’ve visited. I really appreciated that it was different! You also never know if these kinds of stores will just have junk and call it “antiques.” That is NOT the case here! The staff was all very friendly as well! We were on the 2nd floor when an employee offered to carry our selections down to hold at the counter.

One of the best thrift stores I've ever been to! So many good finds, and the third floor is entirely vintage clothing.

This place was seriously awesome. I ended up spending way longer in there than I expected because every corner had something new to check out. It’s three floors of antiques, well, the top one is mostly vintage clothing, but there’s just so much cool stuff packed in that it honestly feels way bigger on the inside than it looks from the street. They’ve got everything from old furniture and vintage signs to jewelry, artwork, vintage toys and random one-of-a-kind things that just grab your attention. I even found this really neat old tobacco pipe that caught my eye, the kind of thing that makes you stop for a second and imagine the stories behind it. The staff was super friendly and down to earth, just easy to talk to. You can tell they really care about the place and enjoy being there. There are even a few little spots to sit and take a break between floors, which is nice because you’ll definitely be doing some walking. It’s in a great area too, right in the middle of the River Market, surrounded by awesome restaurants and spots to grab a drink. There’s actually a place right across the street where you can sit down and relax after exploring, which made it even better. What I loved most was how much variety there was. Whether you’re into vintage clothes, antique furniture, or unique jewelry, you’re bound to find something that sticks with you. The building itself has a cool old vibe that just fits perfectly with everything inside. Definitely one of those places worth taking your time in. Even if you’re not out to buy anything, it’s just a great spot to wander, chat, and soak in all the history sitting on those shelves. Highly recommend giving it a walkthrough, you’ll probably walk out with something you didn’t even know you wanted.

This antique shop is truly One of a kind. I had no idea what to expect, but I am so utterly thankful that I stopped in just to check it out. There are multiple floors of anything you could possibly imagine! You could seriously get lost in here for hours upon hours. So many ridiculously cool things. The staff are exceedingly friendly, willing to help in anything. There are treasures from all different eras... books, clothing, trinkets, furniture, you name it, they will probably have it. It. I was thoroughly surprised. It will definitely take you down memory lane. I've been telling everyone about this place now, and every time I'm around the area, I have to stop in.
