I loved my experience with Olde Towne Coin & Gold. My spouse and I strolled in with some jewelry to sell and we were blessed to be able to work with Wendy that day. She's phenomenal; she knows her stuff, and doesn't waste your time. We also had an opportunity to talk with other staff about having some custom jewelry made in the future which I am so excited about.

I've been to many of the coin shops in the Metro Detroit area and have never had a better experience than I had today at Olde Towne. Blake and his staff were incredibly welcoming, polite and helpful the entire time I was there. I will definitely be going back in the future.

Customer of many years. The new ownership is friendly and has been extremely fair with every transaction I have made. Always a smiling face when I walk in and very friendly. I would recommend this establishment to anyone new or seasoned to the Gold and Silver market! Glad that Wendy stuck around!

I needed my engagement ring repair because a prong bent and a stone fell out. They reset my stone and fixed the prong in less than a week for $30. My ring looks better than the day I got it! The people were so kind and helpful!

This place is wonderful. I have made several purchases and this is also the most dependable and reasonably priced place for repairs of my gold and silver jewelry. Wendy has made my visits particularly special always making sure I am beyond happy with my experience and walking out the door with a product I am happy with. Will continue to make this wonderful spot a consistent stop of mine. Thanks to the owner and the amazing informed staff.

Hi I'm Bennett with my wife Phyllis and we'd like too share our pleasant experience at Olde Towne Coin & Gold last week. So its early Feb.2026 and the buzz is all about the precious metals markets and how they have risen enormously over the past months. So we gathered up all the gold pieces of jewelry we could find in the house, things mostly owned by our folks who had all passed years ago.Things that we would never use. First we had taken most of these pieces to a local Jeweler in Ann Arbor to get an evaluation along with there estimate of value.Once they identified the different karat grades of gold and weighed them in troy grams I called different dealers searching for the highest price. When I called Olde Towne and spoke to a pleasant gal named Wendy she gave me prices per troy grams I was happy with. The following day we visited the shop, a small store front I never noticed before not far from my local fly fishing shop I frequent. There were maybe six to eight people there at the time when we entered and because I was unfamiliar with the shop and the people I felt vulnerable carrying my little bag of gold. I told the guy who greeted us and he said let me clear a spot in the back office were we would meet. Turns out this guy was Nick the owner of the shop, he asked Wendy to grab another chair so we three could sit. He brought in a very sophisticated metal detecting device and we went through each piece of jewelry, he validated for us what was fake and then what was either 10 -14 or 18 karat gold. Nick made us fell comfortable and he gave us a fair price that we excepted. We asked to be paid half cash and the balance in a check he obliged.Prior to going to his shop I looked on line and tabulated the value of 10 --14- and 18 karat gold per troy gram and with a precise scale I had purchased some time before identified the true value. They gave us a fair shake I will be back again Thanks Nick.
