My interactions with Midwest Refineries over the years have been very satisfactory. The website is very easy to navigate and the entire selling experience smooth. I've recommended them to many friends and associates who have wanted to sell metals.

*Seller Beware* This is not the same company it used to be. Midwest under the former owners served us well for nearly 20 years. They were communicative, fast and fair. Every experience was very satisfactory. Our first transaction with the new owners was the exact opposite. They sat on our order for two months, never once reaching out to update. No communications at all. No cash changed hands, they just melted it down and sat on it. During that time I could have sold the metal several times over with other vendors. I can only assume they waited to send the metal off to their broker at a much higher value, while keeping our payout at a lower price. Great way to earn a few extra bucks, sure. But also a brilliant way to lose your customers. I'm sure their response to this will be all about market volatility and complicated times. Neither of those things impact the phone lines or writing an email. I've sold a lot of metal to a lot of places. I've also done business with this company for years. But not any more. It's not the same company. Fair warning.

I have shipped several lots of 90% silver coins that I have collected over the years and I'm very happy with the payout I received. I follow the spot prices and the payout is very good. Also sent in some gold coins and got 95% of melt value. I'm now out of metals to send just glad to get such high prices in January 2026

Fast, great communication, they do as they say. My experience was a very good one. I received a fantastic price on some placer gold that was hard earned. Happy customer that will do business with them again!

You're not going to find another place that 1) makes the process of selling gold and other precious metals so easy, 2) offers a better deal for your metals. After multiple comparisons with pawn/gold shops, precious metal dealers, etc., Midwest Refineries provided the best deal. 3) Great customer service. Raul answered all of my questions with kindness and patience. Even before he had the gold in hand, he provided a clear timeline and explained how his business operates. 100% recommend.

I sent silver in a few weeks ago. I did not get a confirmation yet on anything, but the man I talked to last week said he would update me when he confirmed the shipment. He was nice on the phone. I really like the way they do business, I hope I have more metal to send. Andrew Lloyd
