I’m appalled by the obvious un professionalism of the apparent owner. Just see how he responds to well earned low reviews. My co shopper had plenty of cash in his wallet to buy from your store, but felt you were overpriced on most if not all that he looked at. You sir were the only rude one not wanting your time wasted showing coins to a serious buyer. You’re sad attack on what you see as a competitor review shows your character, or lack of it really. You should learn to accept your earned reviews without retaliation. **Yes you did respond too quickly and poorly. I'm sorry sir, but you were very rude. For all the time you claim to have in the business, you obviously have not learned how to treat EVERY customer. You did NOT show him all the coins he wanted to see. He stopped asking to see coins after you questioned him "where are we going with this, you've looked at a lot of coins and we've put a lot of coins back"? then proceeded to hand him his license back. Basically giving him the send off. I did not mention he was my co-worker, or that I worked at a coin shop. Simply that I was shopping with him. I have 30 years experience in my line of work also, but I do not treat people as I am far superior to them. Especially a customer. As for the "competitor" comment, that was you that referred to my friend as such. In your original response of course. Looking at your other reviews, you actually use that term when you're unhappy with a low review. A low review that I now know is 100% earned. Good customer service skills go a long way. My review, and that of my friend are completely honest. Perhaps if you have audio on the video you are referring too, you can listen again to the way you spoke to a customer. I am not "attacking" you or your business in any way, simply giving an honest review of my visit to your shop. Treat EVERY customer with dignity and respect, and you will receive the appropriate review for it.

My coin collection was mostly assembled by my father during World War II. It remained untouched until I decided to sell it last week. A local collector gave me a price on most of the more valuable coins, but added he would have to take 40% off for his costs and profit. Another buyer and seller of two mid-Michigan golf/silver businesses was recently found to have stolen money from his customers and unsuccessfully "invested" this money at the Soaring Eagle Casino. I decided to talk by phone to Kevin at Mid-Michigan Coin and Jewelry. Kevin gave me the requested "ballpark" values of my more promising pieces, cautioning me that until he looked at the coins, he couldn't be sure of amount of money he would pay for them. My wife and I drove the hour and a half to Frankenmuth to meet with Kevin. This was an excellent decision. Kevin's more than 40 years of experience with coins and paper money made the sale of my collection a rewarding experience. This man knows his business and provided a wealth of information about our coins, and the history behind them. As someone who appreciates honesty, integrity and humor; Kevin fills the bill (pun intended). Before buying or selling gold or silver, I encourage you meet with Kevin at Mid- Michigan Coin and Jewelry. Note: this is but the second review I have ever written. The first was about a business that actively cheated me. Only fair to add the yang to the previous yin.
First time I went in. The guy was pretty short with me. I bought some silver and some gold. He sold .999 gold shot to me and it was marked that it weighed .6 grams. When I got it home and put it on three different scales they all read at .54 grams. A dishonest mistake. I went in a few days ago with $5k to buy silver and gold bullion because he can’t fake the weight on that. He was too busy talking about himself to another skeleton that was in there selling his collection. Any time is asked a question he was short and quite backhanded about everything he said. I’ll gladly go somewhere else. This place has bad reviews and they all say the same thing. He’s a walking ego.
Nice shop with a huge selection of coins. Owner was a little short with me until I pulled out some cash but im sure he gets a lot of tire kickers and im a younger guy so I understand. Once he knew i was a buyer and not wasting his time, we chopped it up for a few minutes and he was nice. Had great prices and the transaction was quick and seamless. I'd recommend this shop for experienced buyers but maybe not for someone who doesnt know what they're looking for.
