Calling to get their buy price for pre 64 coins, was quoted 22 to 23 times face, other places were quoting, 30, 34 and 38 times face. Very cheap, half of melt value.

I took 5 old coins into this shop all had an online value of $80.00 each and the store offered me $80.00 for all 5. I know they have to make money but that is ridiculous. I will never go there again

Fair and honest owner Daniel. I am an 81 y/o collector for 72 years. I am a professional numismatist, numismatic author, investor, ex Money Museum curator and coin authenticator. most people want to believe a coin's value is listed in the "Redbook of Coins". This is in truth, one persons "best guess" at the value. Furthermore, it represents the average "retail value". Those wishing to buiy or sell should be using the "Blue Book" (Same publisher) but it represents far more accurately the true "value". in commom practice dealers like to buy at Blue Book and sell at Red Book. Please understand, Any dealer buying at Red Book (Retail) and selling at Blue Book (Wholesale) wouldn't be open for business more than a month or so. We brought our 8 year old son here as he is interested in old coins. Even knowing we had no plans to purchase anything, Daniel was so accommodating to our son, showing him cool stuff, and even pulled out his oldest coins that weren't for sale just to show him. Daniel is a great guy, and we enjoyed seeing his collection. A lot of unique things!

During a recent visit, my 9-year-old son asked to use the restroom and was told no. There was no sign indicating that restrooms were unavailable to customers. My son has asthma and anxiety, and being refused restroom access caused him significant distress. Denying a young child without explanation or basic consideration was inappropriate and unnecessary. For contrast, we went to another local shop (MYNCS) afterward, and they allowed my son to use the restroom immediatelyβ€”before we even made a purchase. That level of basic decency made a clear difference. Parents should be aware of this when deciding where to shop.
