I have visited the Frederick Coin Exchange twice in the past 2 years - both times it was an outstanding experience, especially when compared with some other similar businesses. Despite the fact that I live in Gaithersburg and have MUCH closer options available, this is definitely my destination of choice for selling coins, sterling and gold. The people who work there are patient, helpful and experienced. They take extra time and answer all of your questions. They can get busy so I definitely recommend making an appointment online (it's really easy to do and they are great about reaching out and confirming everything). All in all, if I could give them 10 stars, I would!

Amazing experience yesterday. It was very crowded, but the ample staff was well organized and very efficient, so business moved right along. The dealer assigned to my silver coin sale was cheerful and professional. In 15 minutes, my motley collection of coins was organized, documented and priced. And the best part… their fee as a percentage of silver spot price was half as much as what my local dealer in Winchester was charging, making it well worth my 50 mile drive. I highly recommend Frederick Coin Exchange. I plan to return soon to sell some vintage sports cards, and I’m optimistic I’ll have a similar experience.

Overall the best experience I ever had in my history of buy & selling precious metals. Took an appointment online, got there, was welcomed by a nice atmosphere and great customer service. I had to fill out a form confirming the informations and my appointment. I had 15 minutes overall there or maybe a little more. The professionalism I experienced and the knowledge I gained during the process was remarkable. It was safe, welcoming, and cheery. And the prices were fair and great. I wouldn’t compare it to anything because they are light years ahead of every single one of the coin exchanges I have experienced. Parking was easy and they also have a nice ice cream shop right across from them.
