Had a rather strange but pleasant experience. Was in town from Louisville and decided to stop in Golden Rule w my dad. We were out ammo and gun shopping. Well while inside the woman inside said, "Before you leave, and I would to do a blessing for you". She then told us about her beliefs in God and seeing her mother returning to her as an angel (a warm light really). Not what I expected and I am not a believer, but it felt good to hear her words and to see they made her happy. I am actually going back today to put a firearm I don't really want on layaway so I can go back and say thank you. They are good people and sorry to any who didn't feel they got decent service.
First pawn that I've been to in Kentucky. The guy who was working today was friendly and helpful. The jewelry is reasonably priced, especially compared to identical items on eBay. Will go back

I see glowing and scathing reviews here. I musta been there near a scathing day. My few questions frustrated them. Asked for a guitar tuner for the guitar i was trying out, they asked me if i was buying the guitar before they even looked for one; they didnt have one. I spent $130 n got a decent guitar, but far from a pleasant experience. If the price is right, fine; but they made me feel like i was bothering them by my presence. They did not practice the "golden rule." Dont go for the experience.
First lady inside behind the counter knew nothing, could not make prices or anything. Then there was a teenager who was completely unhelpful. The man inside was somewhat helpful but seemed dismissive. As I and my service dog was leaving, the teenager working there came outside. I asked my SERVICE DOG if he wanted to sleep any tires. He had already used the bathroom and peed but he loved to smell everything when he is in parking lots since he isn't allowed while inside a store. Immediately the teenager jumped and told me to get him away from the tires, they don't allow dogs to pee in their parking lot and "those tires" are $500 each. I said he is a service dog, trained, and just wanted to smell around. Teenager said well those tires are worth more than your dog I will not be returning to this store.
