Rude, unprofessional and definitely not educated

My order got stuck in the mail, so it took nearly two months to receive the order. While that is not Silvertowne’s fault, I felt that their customer service was hit-or-miss. However, I was pleased with the product, particularly with a medallion that I ordered with custom engraving.

Never have I walked in a coin shop been lied to, spoke to and disrespected so poorly!! Was told one think in messenger, only to be lied to after my 2 hour drive!!! Made me a cash offer after saying they would not without having coin graded etc. Female employee was nothing but rude, disrespectful liar! It’s definitely real well offer you $$$. But Na we won’t wait til after it’s sent out NOW that we see it.

Buying from them is easy - getting someone to call you back from their purchasing department to sell back to them is impossible. Left VM's and zero calls back.

Took a gold chain in. Was worth 1280$ in scrap gold. They offered 650$. 55% of scrap lol. So much for offering “competitive prices”. A pawn shop would offer more

Im just so taken back by my experience today. I have been here many times and never had a problem with anyone. I have always been respectful to the workers. Today I went in to sell some of my old jewelry. I know its hard to know and they have to test the metals which is fine. The first words out of the workers mouth was this isnt all real I know its not. I said it is all real and i know its real she continues to say its not. I then asked her for an apology when she tests everything to prove that we weren't lying. And she said well im not taking this one because of it being higher. The piece had platinum plating which made the metal test higher. She was rude the entire time I said Im not sure why your saying im bringing in something not real and being rude about it. I then said I have a choice where i sell and I dont need to be treated like this for no reason and she got up and walked away. At least 3 other men were around and I looked and said are you guys really going to let her act like this and talk to us like this and they just told us to leave. To the lady you know who you are that experience was completely uncalled for and rude and you dont deserve to talk to customers like that or bash them and their personal treasures. She's younger with dark hair. And the fact that they let her talk like that clearly shows she's either a manager or something higher than them. And if so thats really sad. I wont be back which sucks because I enjoyed being able to go there but now I dont feel safe to go there and Its not an experience I would recommend to anyone. I get having a bad day but thats not something I expect from any employee anywhere. Do better and treat people better.
