The store is a bit cluttered, but the museum is SO COOL! We had a great time. Worth a visit. You can tell itβs been a lifelong endeavor for the man that owns it. So much pride in how everything is displayed.
My kids and I had a great time here! We got there very first thing and the lady was extremely nice. She showed us around and give us the full rundown of the place. You get the lunchbox, RC cola, Nehi, Toms, and Radio all in one. We even got to see the classic cars and airstream that I believe she said was just added. On top of all that is an antique shop. Super good time for all.
This building has seven museums in one: the Lunch Box Museum, Royal Crown Cola Museum, Chero-Cola Museum, Nehi Drink Museum, Tom Huston Museum, Georgia Radio Museum and Car Museum. There is so much obscure local and state history and these museums touch on it. You'll take a trip down memory lane when you view the old automobiles, lunch boxes and RC Cola bottles. The lunch box museum is amazing in the sense that so many franchises had lunch boxes. TV shows, music groups, cartoons, and movies all had images placed on lunch boxes. It's a fun bit of nostalgia.
This museum is incredible!! From oldest lunch boxes to oldest wooden icy drink holder cart, there are 8+1 museums inside. The owner himself (90 years old) gave us a private tour. He's very sharp and knowledgeable. My husband and I will definitely come back again to appreciate every thing inside all over again!!
Awesome museums and antiques selection. The owners and workers were very kind. My mother in law came from out of town and she loved it. Please support this amazing nonprofit.
