My husband and I went in a few years ago looking to see if what we had was even worth anything. The owner John was extremely nice . He weighed what we had made us a very fair offer and we walked out with cash. Very pleased with our experience. Have recommended to others over the years. If we are ever need his services again will definitely return.

Solid business. Sold silver bars for cash at a fair price with no hassles. Place is cleaner and more organized than most coin shops. To me it indicates a certain level of professionalism.

Stopped in to sell a numismatic graded coin. Wasn't sure if it was something he would normally buy however he was familiar with it and we came to very fair agreement on price. My whole goal was to sell it locally if I could get a fair price rather than on ebay with all their fees and hassle of shipping something that weighed 1 kilo. I was extremely happy with the transaction and would recommend Silver Bay to anyone in the area looking to buy or sell. I've actually done business with them a few times now, never disappointed yet.

Great shop. The staff is pleasant and polite. I am new to stacking and they have helped me as I have been learning about it. They have helped to appraise pieces that have come to me and they make purchasing and selling metals very easy and enjoyable. Prices may be similar to those you would find online, but it is nice having a personal touch and interaction. Stacking is a tangible activity, so it is nice to look at what is in the case and to touch the pieces in person before buying.

I definitely got taken for a ride here. I had 4 dollars worth of mercury dimes. He offered me 144. Bear in mind that this is right around the hour where silver was at its all-time Market High with the spot price of $92 or $93 per oz. He did some con man calculations and offered me $144. I didn't wanna argue with him- but sold him half of what I presented originally. He gave me $80. Should have been closer to $120 (not counting fees). I knew I'd been ripped when he just slapped down the cash- no receipt no nothing. Straight duped. I was in Scrubs too, so he's not afraid to take advantage of anybody.

Went in to sell some coins. Was not expecting spot price knowing the store needs to make a profit also. Fast, pleasant experience. Went back the next day to sell some more. The owner basically said most everything we had was worthless and when we questioned him and proved what we had was real silver, he became belligerent, gave everything back to us and said he can't help us. He will swindle you. I noticed he replies to every negative review to make himself look good but believe the bad reviews
