Visited the gold exchange this morning.. Had an amazing experience, both gentlemen were very friendly and educated me on gold and also silver prices & what to do and what not to do with it. Had a wonderful experience, selling a few pieces of gold jewelry, I felt they paid very generous and paid in cash. The first store I stopped in downtown Cape Coral was very rude and only would pay by check, so glad I went to Ft Myers gold exchange, they are very customer friendly!
A couple months ago I went to this place thinking they paid spot price minus their fee..They were overly nice the way a conman is with his mark.They kept talking at me from different angles,and everytime I had a question for the lady some big mountain looking guy would start asking me questions. It was very confusing, and I admit the chaos took me off balance. Where I used to do business with gold and silver in Miami they would pay x minus a small fee(commission) .This place is nothing more than a pawn shop from the hood.They shouldn't be advertising like theyre anything else..They only wanted to pay me half what my metal was worth. Never again!..and if you go at least educate yourself on what your gold or silver is worth by the current spot prices.
