Like everyone said about the delivery time frame. I'd been waiting for over 3 months and still didn't get it. Already filed the complaint in FL AG. Got my silver after AG involved.

My wife has been buying from them for years, but they were very standoffish and rude when I just called them. They have no office, even though one is listed on their site and want you to ship the metals and coins to them????? Sorry but I dont have that much faith in a place that has poor customer service and no office??????Scam alert...

In September of 2025 I ordered 5 platinum Maple Leafs expecting that it might take 2 to 3 months for delivery. I began checking on my order in December and was told that they don't ship for 2 weeks around Christmas because of increased delivery theft. I was assured that the order would be fulfilled and to expect delivery in a couple more weeks. I called back in mid January and was told the same thing, they're very busy and orders are even slower than normal. My last call was 3 weeks later and was told that they didn't have any platinum and didn't know if or when they would be getting some, and that there were over 90 customers who they intended to contact sometime soon to let them know this. I asked why they were still showing this product available on their website if they didn't actually have it. I was told that they would be showing it as unavailable but they still haven't done so. I was angry and frustrated at this point and canceled my order, losing about $3000 in the process. Basically, you can't believe anything they tell you and they sell products that are actually unavailable.

I've shopped around a few places online and finally settled on Gainesville Coins. Their pricing on silver bars is consistently among the best I can find. My last transaction went smoothly.  Nate from their customer service was very helpful and I appreciate the time he took with me.

I placed a medium size order earlier in the year. I noticed when you go to the website there is a disclaimer that states delivery will be at least several weeks. Mine took slightly longer than I expected, but every time I inquired with Nate, he kept me updated and kept to his word. My order was shipped in a couple shipments as I am guessing this is based on their availability and the size of the order. Items were very nice and I am pleased with my order. I will do business again with them as they kept their word with me and items were very nice for a very reasonable price compared to others. The website explains that shipments will take some time. I didn't have a problem with that and never felt I was not going to get my order fulfilled.

Edited 2/8: we eventually receive our coins 5 months later, however they were the older edition, not 2025. Ordered several containers of silver eagles back in August 2025. Sent bankwire in good faith; have gotten the run around about when would be delivered. Basically scammed. Do not order from these people, you have been warned. will be taking legal action against them.

It’s sad I am here having to make this review. Gainesville Coins came highly recommended by several reputable people, so I never thought the need to read their reviews. Unfortunately this review will be like several others. On May 20,2025, my family and I sold part of our coin collection. Our initial time in the shop was nice and the employees were friendly and respectable. We were told we’d have our payment in 4-6 weeks. I did not really push the issue until the beginning of August when we had not heard from anyone or received our money. I called and was told they would get with the accounting department and call me back, which they never did. I then had to resort to emails. On our 3rd month of no payment, August 20, 2025, we were told they were backed up due to the high volume of people selling their coins. Month 4 came, September 20, 2025, and we still have not heard from anyone nor received our payment. I have sent another email requesting immediate payment or we’d like our coins back. Once again, no one has reached out or responded. So here I am, starting the process of having to do what I can to get an answer. I would not recommend Gainesville Coins. If we would have never reached out, I’m positive they would have never gave updates. The only positive that has came from this, is we did not sell them our whole collection. On September 25, 2025 I was told payment was ent in the mail on the 1st which we never got. They told us they would cancel the old check and reissue the money. In two days we finally received a check, however it was for only 1/3 of total amount owed. On October 7, 2025, I sent another email asking where the remainder of the money is. I was told another payment would be sent today with the rest “hopefully” coming next week. Will we get our money???

If I could give zero stars, I would. I am currently struggling with getting my coins that I ordered back in August 2025. It's been almost 4 months. I put my order on a credit card and filed a dispute after getting the runaround and gaslighting. They sent me one coin of 4 coins ordered. They apparently claim they sent my whole order, but it was a partial order. I have all the documentation and have filed a dispute again with the credit card company for the remainder of my order. I have read the Yelp reviews. They are both shocking and revealing. Some reviews indicate people complaining that they haven't received their money for coins sold to Gainesville Coins and/or coins not being delivered after being purchased for 10's of thousands of dollars. While my dispute is still pending and I am currently out for $118 and change ( not including their shipping charges), I strongly recommend "Caveat Emptor", let the buyer beware. This business, IMHO, needs to be shutdown. Update on my review: I finally got my coins after almost 4 months. They fulfilled my order and the coins are beautiful. I hope they get their act together and get back to the level of customer service they once had. Be that as it may, I will be using alternate coin dealers because this experience exhausted me.
