This antique shop is without a doubt, one of a kind. Stop by any day and you’ll find something that you didn’t expect to find. Looking for a rare book or piece of art. This is your place. If you’re connoisseur of old clocks, this is your place. It’s my new best Jewelry store as well. Don’t hesitate to drop by. It’s a great business run by great people
Located on Hartford Avenue (Route 189) in Granby, Unique Antiques Of Connecticut is an amazing shop, though you have to keep your eyes peeled or you might just drive right by it. I had to turn around to find it, but the extra effort was well worth it. Upon entering, we were welcomed by an extremely friendly young man who works there. He immediately made us feel comfortable and at home. The shop itself is a treasure trove, filled with a wide variety of items. They truly have a little bit of everything, from silverware and paintings to jewelry, lamps, cutlery, and dishes. There's also a great selection of cups, pottery, and furniture. What really stood out, however, was their impressive collection of clocks, watches, and cameras. I have never seen a collection so vast and well-curated. It was fascinating to browse through all the unique pieces. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. It's well worth the trip, and as an added bonus, there's great food to be found right across the street.
I purchased an item through an auction recently from Unique Antiques and also visited their retail store. I couldn't have been more pleased by the experience. In this specific industry, I think oftentimes there is a perception of antique dealers/retailers maybe not always providing the best customer experience. I had the opposite experience with Unique Antiques. They were honest, responsive, professional and pleasant. The store has a large, clean and diverse inventory of old goodies. I highly recommend that you consider them for your vintage and antique shopping needs!
I’ve been here a few times now and always find such cute little treasures. They have a great selection of items, some of them incredibly old. The staff there is always so friendly & helpful. Can’t wait to go back.
