Long time local shop. They were great at answering our questions and helping determine the value of our collection.

Not buying silver even at current prices a good dealer knows how to buy and sell at current market. Why purchase from them if they are not willing to buy back !

DO NOT GO HERE! Went there to sell a piece of jewelry and I told the man I wanted to be with the piece when he weighs it. He stopped right there and told me he couldn't give me a quote since I didn't trust him. He was very rude to both me and my partner while I was trying to explain to him I would just not like the piece of jewelry out of my sight. I have gone to multiple other jewelers and they allow me to be with the jewelry as they are testing/weighing it. To me this is a huge red flag and I would not trust them and specifically the older bald man with glasses and a mustache. He was very rude and just there to start a fight instead of telling me why I could be with him while he weighs the piece.

Had a very professional and friendly experience with the staff at Tebo today! They explained the steps they take and what the findings were in great detail. Good safety protocols with a locked front door and one salesman assigned to each customer for privacy for autonomy. A very positive experience!

It’s getting really hard out there and probably a lot of people are going to be looking to sell the gold and silver since it is an outrageous price right now My experience gives me reasons to doubt Tebo’s credibility and the way I was treatment was unacceptable I am a women BTW and I think that might’ve had something to do with it I grudgingly had to sell some of mother’s antique gold jewelry because I have an unexpected large financial setback and I needed money right now . I knew that they were worth something but it was 9k gold that is very popular in the UK, not in the USA. These items had some weight to them . One was had very clear English hallmarks That said who mads it, what type, where is was officially accessed and what year. In this case, it was made by a very reputable English gold and silver business that was founded over 100 years ago. The necklace did not have the original clasp. The clasp properly was replaced in the 60’s I also have a few old silver dollars I was told not to take them to a pawnshop to a coin dealer or gold and silver business I instantly felt dismissed, and the man would not listen to what I was trying to tell him about British gold. So he takes the two pieces and I don’t know what he did with them ( I would imagine an x-ray is standard practice) but he comes back and he says that the necklace is not gold And there was questions about the pendant because it was ranging 9K to 10 K. I told him yes it’s 9k and it’s proven by those marks. Then he says to me, anybody can stamp a coin. Ok…. No, not like that . It’s like a strange work of art with a bunch of information in it. So he says that he could perform an acid test and that he would have to damage the piece. I said that was OK because I figured that it would show, as authentic but then he comes back with an a “ I knew this was a waste of my time “ expression on his face He said that when he dropped the acid on it, it immediately started to fizz and had turned a dark color and he would not buy it . I was really getting the impression that he believed that I was too stupid to know it wasn’t real.. whatever I brought it up again of its validity since the piece had been accessed at the Birmingham Assary office . I also brought up that he had claimed that the gold was going back-and-forth between 9 and 10k which meant it was real gold but 9k more copper then 10 K His boss said something really weird about percentages and what they can and cannot test for . They were getting oddly very defensive every time I questioned why he believed it wasn’t real. I was stunned afer I asked him about the what was the necklace made of. He said “I don’t know” If it had been x-rayed, it would’ve shown what metal it was made out of. I understand that British Hallmarks can be difficult, this is something people like them should know They did not have to be so condescending So I just got $68 for the coins I was devastated because I needed money right now , so I went to the other place ( I’m not sure if I can say the name so I won’t) but it is located in Boulder , Westminster and Denver that deals with only gold, silver etc. I explained to her what it happened and she said there was no need for an x-ray and that they were both real because of the identification mark and the scratch test and the acid did not bubble up at all. The man at Tebo’s didn’t even have to knick it. When she said $1750 I lost it! I was expecting maybe $300 I don’t even think that Tebo x-rayed the necklace and unprofessionally and unnecessarily damaged the piece when it could’ve been a tested with a scratch test along with the x-ray! And to be honest with you, I think that if he had accepted it, I would not have paid anywhere near as much. Most definitely he would have offered pawnshop prices making a tidy profit They chose to be obnoxious and not take me seriously, and even if they paid me with the other buisness paid me ( 80%) it would’ve been worth their while.

Thank goodness for Google's review system. Big thanks to all of you that took time to leave a review. I was planning on buying some gold and silver from them today. After reading these reviews I will definitely be going somewhere else. If these reviews are even half true I hope there business dry's up.

I have never gone to sell silver or gold to a coin shop. I went with a friend a week ago to Tebo Coin. What a positive experience we had! Excellent service! Very patient and kind as we learned about our treasures. I would HIGHLY recommend going to Tebo if you want to sell coins or jewelry. Comfortable and efficient.
