The atmosphere is laid back and the workers were very professional! After going to 5 different shops and getting turned down it was such a relief when they gave me the best value for my jewelry. Date of Visit: 11/18/2025 I never thought I would have to write a review like this. I’ve been a loyal customer of Value Gold & Silver Exchange for almost three years, and during that time, I have only purchased my Bullion from this establishment. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars here and have always recommended this business to others because the prices were fair and the atmosphere always felt welcoming. Every transaction I’ve had in the past was with Steve, and he has consistently treated me with respect. However, my experience on 11/18/2025 changed everything. This time, Steve was not in, so I dealt with the owner, Ron. My girlfriend and I went in to purchase Bullion after taking a ten month break from buying Bullion due to medical reasons. She paid for our Bullion in cash. As soon as we got back into our vehicle, I noticed she had overpaid by $130. I immediately went back inside to let Ron know. When I brought this up, I was met with a dismissive response: “You gave me what you gave me.” At that moment, I realized not only did he refuse to acknowledge the mistake, he also knew we overpaid and chose to keep the extra $130 anyway. That’s not an oversight. That’s a choice. Despite this, I made a second purchase of silver, wanting to take advantage of already being infront of Bullion, fully aware that it would likely be the last time I ever set foot in that store. I even explained that I was currently out of work due to recent cancer surgery and that I would be starting chemotherapy soon. Which is why every dollar matters right now. Unfortunately, that information was ignored. The fact that I have spent years supporting this business, and thousands of dollars, meant nothing in the end. As someone who is currently majoring in business management, I understand the importance of customer loyalty, ethical business practice, and building long-term relationships. To lose a faithful customer of nearly three years over $130 makes no logical business sense to me. It was disappointing and disheartening to see integrity abandoned over such a small amount, especially toward someone who has consistently supported the business. I truly never wanted to write a negative review about this establishment. But after what happened, I felt it was important to warn others and share my experience. Loyalty should be a two-way street, and after today, I no longer feel that this business values its customers the way I once believed it did. I sincerely hope this feedback results in more honest and ethical customer service going forward.
