Always a great experience! Started with Liberty decades ago-- pleased with penny and dime collections. Learned more and more. Started studying bullion exchange and basically Liberty was my library and museum. My recent visit to the new OC location reaquanited me with old friends and my still love of old pennys.

I have found this to be the most transparent dealer ever. Prices are frequently labeled with samples on display. Their stock is generally much better than other dealers. They are efficient. They are friendly and respectful. I can’t imagine what else you would want or need when buying Precious metals.

Good ol’ bait and switch! Quoted 1 price on the phone go into the store and only wants to buy silver at $38 an ounce! For reference silver is $61 an oz today

The embodiment of the word pretentious. As other reviews have mentioned, Sirus was extremely rude and dismissive. I tried to make light, industry-related conversation, explaining that I own complete Bradford Exchange $2 National Park and WWII bill collections. Before I even finished speaking, I was cut off with, β€œWe give those away β€” they’re worth a little more than $2.” Whether or not a store wants to buy something isn’t the issue β€” it’s the abrupt, dismissive attitude. Especially when those same bills routinely sell individually and as complete sets in the secondary market. I also brought in a PCGS-graded Barber half dollar. It was initially dismissed as fake, then that statement was later retracted. I was offered $200, despite recent comparable sales being significantly higher. Again, I fully understand dealers need margin β€” but there was zero effort to explain grading, wholesale pricing, or reasoning. Just dismissal. The same pattern continued with a group of shipwreck coins (Mexican and Spanish silver). Interesting pieces, varied designs β€” yet the only information offered was that holed coins are worth less. No education, no engagement. What stood out most was the contrast in treatment. A customer dealing in hundreds of thousands in gold received attentive service, while others β€” myself included β€” were treated as inconveniences. I’ve previously sent customers here and heard mixed reviews. After today’s experience, I’d recommend finding a shop that treats all customers with basic respect and professionalism, regardless of the value they walk in with

Not sure why this place gets some dislike and saying β€œ discrimination”. I was traveling from Utah in California on vacation and stopped by this shop. Came here twice and both times the staff was transparent knowledgeable. There was a Mexican dude next to me selling his silver and was treated fair just like the rest of us and ironically a black dude to my right selling over 50 ounces of silver I saw no discrimination in this shop at all. I over heard quotes and conversations they were friendly and fair the customers seemed pleased and took the offers. I scored two amazing coins I negotiated and got a fair price. I’ll be back and this shop is great thank you to Kellen and his staff
