Always the best price for selling and buying when I check around. Called around a few days ago and they once again were offering the closet to spot!! Then when I was in looking at the selection in store, everything I asked had a better price than I could find anywhere in the market. Truly a go to spot, if you have questions the man behind the counter will always be willing to help/get you knowledgeable answers. If you haven't been definitely check it out!(:

Awesome location! It is great to know I have a LCS who I could sell ALL of my gold and silver to at a great price in the event of an emergency. He always has good coins/bars/nuggets and also jewelry for both my wife and I to enjoy the visit. I trust him over any jeweler.

Owner Chad is a really cool person. Great customer service and creates a good environment for people getting into gold and silver. Absolutely no pressure and the premiums over spot are the best in town. Huge selection and I never feel like he's trying to hard sell things. This is my new precious metals shop for sure. If you're looking to just get started in the collecting game this is the shop for you.

This review is overdue! Chad at Gold Rush has been there for me and my family through the good and the bad since 2020! I've personally dealt with most of not most Gold shops in the Greater Sacramento area and I must say none compare to Gold Rush! Chad has the knowledge, integrity, patience and the desire to conduct legitimate business. I can't say that about my other experiences. Dealing with him 5+ years I learned he had a great mentor and it's more of a passion than anything for him. Luckily the passion grows in value in itself just like precious metals. You will never feel judged by appearance or by your situation like others will tend to. I've seen him at my highest and my lowest and he's always treated me the same and never changed his prices on me which is much appreciated. I wouldn't go anywhere else but Gold Rush Sacramento, You'll walk out the same way you walked in. With a smile on your face! Welcoming. Knowledgeable enough. Not impatient. Even identified a piece of solid gold i thought was plated/worthless. I wanted to trade my gold for silver (while the ratio was at 1:100), with a percentage or 2 for the house's time. But instead was offered a price for my gold. And was told the price of rounds, eagles, and 90% after asking about each (as did most other shops i called). None of the prices sounded very good. And i wasnt sure about the offer for the gold. And didnt want to be charged twice for 1 "trade". So i walked. I went to baysavers 5 minutes away, and was quoted specific buy prices for each piece of gold, which i wrote down on my phone. Baysavers offer was 10.5% HIGHER than Gold Rush Coins & Jewelry!!! And when i decided to make a deal for some of it, my pieces were examined more closely, and i was quoted the exact same prices again. Each piece left the table to be weighed, but never left my sight. Here at Gold rush, 2 different Tupperware trays were used, and the employee was blocking my view of the scale. And i only got a whole quote for everything. $2,430 Baysavers total was $2685 for the exact same stuff! I sold $1k of it, and kept my proof coins. Still well worth the 5 minute drive Gold Rush was more secure and private. And their selection is massive. Tons of coins and medals and rounds and 90% and eagles and nuggets etc to browse to your hearts content. Baysavers had more antiques, and fewer coins. But they had more than 1 employee present. Both shops quoted similar sale prices for silver. So I'm trying a 3rd shop (gold bug) tomorrow. I've had luck with cheap silver there before. And he was the only shop who agreed to trade. Your mileage may vary. But a 10% difference, 5 minutes away is crazy! I appreciate the time and getting a ballpark figure, to know what to expect elsewhere. But i think this shop is somewhat complacent, to slightly low-ball customers who just want cash right now. Makes me wish i owned my own shop. Thank God for free market competition!
