Very informative. Came in with various curriencies I knew were somewhat valuable and the staff who assisted me pointed out errors and rarities that actually raised the value and bought it off me appropriately. Now that’s good character; they could’ve totally made a buck off my ignorance and they gave me tips instead. Everyone is very kind too. Will be returning

I went in to sell precious metals and had a very disappointing experience. I brought in 74 grams of silver (approximately 2.38 troy ounces). At the exact moment of the transaction, the spot price was $103. The silver was weighed only in grams, with no conversion to troy ounces or explanation provided, despite troy ounces being the standard measurement used for precious metals pricing. Based on the spot price and weight, the $136 offer for the silver was significantly below a reasonable percentage of melt value. I declined that offer. I did sell some small gold items, but even then, the payout felt extremely low relative to the weight and current gold prices, especially for a business that presents itself as knowledgeable in jewelry, coins, and bullion. I was also not given, nor even offered, a receipt for the transaction. The lack of transparency and explanation felt misleading and appeared to rely on the customer not fully understanding spot pricing or standard industry measurements. Transparency matters when dealing with valuables. I can’t even begin to tell you how great this shop is. They are very friendly, very trustworthy and very fair priced. There’s a reason why California Jewelry and Coin has five stars and I just want to add to that. I will go to no other shop, this one is the only shop I ever need to go to!
