I sold a diamond through these guys, and I was happy with the experience. It's a quirky shop of duck-print wallpaper and 1980s carpet in a strip shopping center, but with a friendly, if unhurried, owner. You have to call ahead and make an appointment (and prepare to wait for other people ahead of you once you arrive anyway). I stopped in and didn't expect much. But the owner mentioned he has relationships with local jewelers and other diamond buyers. He took a quick look at my diamond ring and told me he'd let me know if he found anyone interested. Sure enough, several days later he called me, accurately "guessed" the [low end of the] range I was being offered from other reputable places, and mentioned he thought he could beat it. A few days after that, he had found a potential buyer. He arranged for the buyer and me to both come in an hour later, and asked me to bring in the diamond's certificate and the independent insurance appraisal doc I had from years before. I dropped off the ring and left for a bit while he negotiated with the buyer (a "friend" of few words who came with a loupe and jeweler tools). When I returned, the owner offered me a price that was a bit higher than the highest I'd received at various diamond exchange/buyer storefronts, and we did the transaction in cash. I don't know what kind of commission/fee/upcharge he took from the buyer (the owner wouldn't tell me when I asked), but given my other offers, I was content with it and accepted the offer without negotiating (I'm not sure what would've happened if I did, but I didn't have much leverage to push for more). Recommendation: always get multiple offers from traditional places, but put Jon from ACE on the list to see if he can do better with a third party.

I came into this store hoping to sell some gold jewelry. Well. long story short. I had plenty to sell but only sold one piece. Thank god for that. This guy was avasive to ANY IF NOT ALL questions I may have had, he is lazy and an out right con artist. He did NOT offer me a reciept, I asked and he says only if i purchase do I get a reciept. WEIRD RIGHT~! He always had his back to me while handling my items. He quoted me wrong and bought a nice piece of gold from me for almost a third of whats its worth. My bad for not having all my homework done with this particular item, yes, but WOW. No professionalism whatsoever, his office was a mess and so was he. I i didnt need the cash right then I can assure I would have NEVER done business with this dishonest, unmanaged and sketchy guy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DIRTY GUY OR HIS DIRTY STORE.
