Good guy. Steve is a straight shooter and knows his field. The only place I will go to for coin purchases, sales, and information.

I have been going to Steve Sterling for now almost 11 years. He has ALWAYS been professional with me and ALWAYS gives me the best prices for my Gold and Sterling Silver. He deals a lot more in Coins but he is a Pro when in comes to knowing exactly what karat you’re gold is even if it’s not stamped. Him and I have a good business relationship. Sometimes I have gone a few years without going in to see him but no matter what - he always remembers me. Trust me when I say - He will give you the best deal on your silver & Gold. My friend who is more into coins tells me he is also very fair if your looking to buy/sell possibly trade different types of rare coins. Anyways, again this guy knows his stuff and it will be a hit in the gut if him or his shop ever goes away. Because I have been to every “we buy gold & silver” type shop in the valley and I promise you - they won’t treat you as professional nor give you anywhere close to what Steve does for your gold - silver - or rare coins. Just be aware, because your gold piece or 925 sterling silver piece just so happens to be a beautiful piece of jewelry in your eyes, he is not interested in it’s looks, he is interested in it’s melt value - so please don’t go in there thinking you might get more for your 14k gold necklace which survived the holocaust vs the guy brining in a nugget of 14k gold he found panning - because both will get the exact same treatment and price for their gold. Thank you Steve for all the years of business and buying my gold bullion when times get tough or I just need some extra $$.

This is a rather cozy hole in the wall location that took me a little while to find initially. With that being said the selection of coins is actually rather nice. Steve is very reasonable with the prices, and he comes across as being very knowledgeable. If you are a coin hound and are in the Scottsdale area I would definitely recommend adding this place up. I know for a fact there are other places in Scottsdale that will take you for a ride but I would be shocked if that ever happened here. It certainly has not been the case with me.

The owner was very courteous and helpful. He took the time to go over the coins and currency with fair pricing for the market. There was plenty of parking with the store being easy to find. The only that could use improvement is the interior design which was extremely small and cluttered. I would recommend Steve Sterling Coin for the informative knowledge about coins and the courteous service. However, if your looking for a place to browse see coins and currency, space is at the minimum allowance for customers
