Called weeks in advance to be sure not to waste a 5 hour trip, spoke to the owner, and set up the date to come in, because he said would be out of town for a week, come in, our aunt died and we inherited a lot of coins, he told us bring them pennies and all that it would be worth our time, get into his shop and he is the rudest individual a person can meet, didn't even want to look at our coins claiming to have an eye irritation and he couldn't see so he was not inspecting anything, completely wasted our time, the last of our cash, and stranded hours away until we could find another coin dealer whom would actually take the time, listen to us, and actually inspect the coins. He tried to low ball us on our coins not even looking at them under a light or magnifying glass.. I walked out and will not go back

Always to busy to help you never at the store and when he is in Always saids im busy. His name is Peter Spooner. Always has a bad attitude. drove 3 hours to buy coins in his shop has 1 person in his store and won't let you come in his store to look around he locks the door and leaves you outside. My autistic son was hurt not to buy coins. LOOK AT OTHER POST SAME BAD SERVICE SHOP OTHER PLACES OR EBAY. YOU WILL GET BETTER SERVICE I PROMISE. Please buy from someone else found out everyone else who sells coins are way cheaper.

The best place hands down to buy or sell coins. Peter is so knowledgeable about coins and Arizona history. He even wrote a book on historic tokens. Really interesting!

I inherited some gold and silver coins and am not an expert in the numismatic value of US coins. I was able to get some basics from the PCGS website, so armed with a little knowledge I went to visit 3 coin shops. Long story short, Peter helped me understand the coin market better, he gladly answered all my question, and most importantly he gave me the best offer for the sample of coins I brought him. Note the offers varied by more than 25% and Peter's price was by far the most fair and within the expected range of 80% of retail. I plan on working exclusively with Peter.
