My mistake may be help someone else in the future. purchased a vari desk at auction september 29 sealed in a box complete with Vari packing straps securing the box. did not need the desk right away so I was happy it was boxed. Sat in my garage until November 20. When I went to put it together found out there were no legs. Contacted the sierra auction and was advised they could not issue a refund "we will not be able to issue a refund due to the piece being sold in September. If this had been brought to my attention within a few days of this being picked up, I would have been able to issue one". suggestion, open and check all items immediately even if factory sealed in box. Probably not a bad idea to screen shot the items represented. In my case they showed an internet photo of a complete desk and the sealed box. Rookie mistake on my part but can shop deals elsewhere.

Was a great auction house but seems to be going down hill further and further as time goes by. First thing they should change is show when a reserve isn't met. They'll let you believe you won a item and then wait till the auction is over before telling you that there was a reserve preventing you from getting something else if you wanted. Also there fees have done nothing but increase with offering less and less. They used to have live auctions with auctioneers, now it's online only which they then charge you a fee to bid online. Also they got rid of a lot of employees making pickup times way longer than what it was five years ago. Used to drive the cars in front of the live auctions so you knew they at least moved, now obviously don't do that with everything online. Last the employees demeanor has greatly changed. Years ago everyone was friendly and helpful, now most of them act like your inconveniencing their life just by showing up to get your stuff. All the way around it's going downhill. Maybe a new owner would be better. One with any concern for the business and not just the fees. Just my two cents on this place. Maybe take some lessons from WSM. They seem to have a lot better and cleaner auction yard with less broken things being sold.

Great deals to be found, but worth the trip to preview items before bidding I enjoy the massive amounts of items each auction here and in Phoenix Bid wisely there are no refunds and if you show up and don't bring everything home there's fees to throw things away

I want to share my experience so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Last Sunday, I decided to take a chance on a computer that showed no signs of damage. But what a surprise I got when I tried to use it and it wouldn't even turn on. Then I realized it had no hard drive, no battery, and no memory. All this after I had to buy a charger just to be able to use it. I tried to speak with the manager, who refused to see me, claiming he was busy. I think the price of the computer is irrelevant compared to the $15,000 or $20,000 I've spent over the years. Not only did they ignore me, but they've also blacklisted me for life just for standing up against an injustice. This is cowardly of this person.

The staff at Sierra Auction Tucson are phenomenal! Santos, in particular, has always been a pleasure to do business with. I always feel welcomed here, and everyone is so helpful. I have acquired many great bargains, but I always remind people to consider what they are bidding on—this is an auction, not a retail store or car lot. That said, they do their best to highlight known faults and provide detailed pictures. A big thank you to everyone at Sierra Auction!

This place is not what it once was. The odds of you actually getting a deal is very slim. The last car I purchased ended up having issues when driving. At first the solution was for me to pay the car and keep it in the auction until it was sold for what I wanted. It turned out this car was being sold here for about a year. I did get e refund because it wouldn’t shift and it was the same day. Others not so lucky. SURPLUS is now a scam. I’ve seen employees greeting family members when picking up the best merchandise. Items are rigged up to look bad when they are good and good when they are bad. Resellers are also paying near top dollar for items to keep inventory up. A simple google search to Sam’s Club shows that items are being purchased for only about a 25% discount.
