After visiting another local coin shop, we went to Old Pueblo Coin. Trace was so pleasant to deal with! He made the experience relaxing and fun. We did an extremely fair trade and learned a little but more about coins than we knew. Great job Trace!

Have gone here for years to sell my scrap silver, gold and coins. They pay you the most out of all the places I have sold to in Tucson AZ. They are always so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. I highly recommend you just go here to sell your precious metals as they are the best place to go for that.

Hello, I honestly wouldn’t give even one star for this experience. I searched online for a reputable and fair coin dealer, found this shop, and decided to give them a try. When I arrived, everyone greeted me, and I explained that I had emailed beforehand and was told to come in the morning. Unfortunately, no one there seemed to know anything about it. We sat down and were offered water, which was nice, but things went downhill quickly once we started reviewing my coins and silver. I brought in a gold coin that easily sells for around $500. I was offered $220. I stayed calm and waited to see how the rest would go. Then he looked at my Morgan dollars and offered me $60 each. At that point, I couldn’t help but laugh and refused to sell. Next, I handed him my silver bars. He weighed them and claimed they were all under 2 oz. I use a calibrated scale at home and told him this, but he insisted I must be wrong. He also told me he couldn’t pay spot price because the bars didn’t have certification—even though he had already tested them for silver content. That made no sense to me. At that moment, I realized he wasn’t paying any numismatic value at all—only the melt value of the metal. Because of that, I stopped showing the rest of my coins. There was no point continuing when the offers were far below reasonable market value. In the end, I only sold the items where I knew I would still make a small profit. If you go here, expect to be offered only the silver or gold melt value—nothing more. This store calls itself a coin shop, yet they pay only metal value while selling the same coins for a high premium. I understand a business needs to make a profit, but don’t take advantage of people, especially those with less experience. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. Now I understand why it stopped being Tucson’s “Best Coin Shop” after 2021. Never again.
