When I found this shop online and read the reviews from other visitors, I stopped looking; I knew this was my destination. The next day I went to see it for myself, and it was clear that I had made the right choice. I was there to sell, not to buy, but if I had wanted to choose a unique gift for a special friend, I could easily have found one. I was amazed at the quantity and variety of interesting items displayed in this shop. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, and I was happy to have a chair to sit on while we discussed what I had brought with me, a courtesy often not extended in other shops. The owner patiently and meticulously examined all my coins and jewelry, carefully testing each piece for silver or gold content and pointing out the factors that determined why each one was or wasn't valuable. Her experience was evident. She tactfully explained how pawn shop staff decide what to pay, considering not only the age of what seems like an antique but also its rarity, condition, and resale value in their shop. Our conversation was pleasant and enlightening. I never felt rushed or pressured to accept an offer. Her thorough and respectful explanations left me assured that she was both knowledgeable and fair. I look forward to returning soon.
