Very rude lady at the counter. I asked her if they happened to have some particular books. She said "No, I get those out when they come in." I said, "Oh, ok, I was looking for a couple to complete my set." Se replied, "You should start with that." then went on about her business. The other fella didn't even acknowledge my existence. The nicest person I encountered was a little black dog.

The antiques were very cool, I love their rock collection very neat... but do keep an eye on the amount of your items.

What a gem!!! I came in to this shop figuring I'd just walk around and window shop, but I ended up leaving with a bag full of beautiful jewelry and a smile on my face. The staff were so sweet and helpful, making conversation and sharing the coolest stories about how they source the items they sell. I'm so glad I stopped by and I will absolutely be coming back in the future. P.S. Check out their Instagram! They post all kinds of neat finds!!

This is a must-visit shop if you're ever in Charleston. Sometimes you find a hole-in-the-wall, filled with magic, and I can confirm, that has always been my experience here. With three floors full of great prices, interesting/unique finds, one of a kind art, and an owner who has an eye for the eclectic and is a fantastic conversationalist, I cannot recommend this store enough.

Very cool antique store! Eclectic collection, ranging from small nick-knacks to genuinely high quality, historic pieces. The highlight when I visited was an original, 19th century Massachusetts brothel bathtub! The store is also pretty well organized and the staff are really friendly and personable. Whether you're a local or just swinging by Charleston, I would definitely pay Stray Dog a visit!
