Horrible to deal with buying 15% below spot price. Don't waste your time they want to make a killing off of buying and selling.

Joel was quick and to the point. Didn’t take more than 5 minutes and had the best fair prices around.

This is hands-down the best coin shop in the Milwaukee area, and that’s a fact. Better yet, it is the best place to sell your gold or silver. Seriously, let me save you from wasting a bunch of time and losing out on a ton of money, i’ve already been to the gold buyers in the greater Milwaukee area that have a similarly high rating and I made that mistake so that you don’t have to. Nobody holds a candle to these guys, they’re super friendly and helpful, they’re quick and they aren’t going to pressure you and see how little they can get away with paying you. Even if Brookfield is a bit far from your area, even if the whole reason you are selling gold is because your car is in the shop and therefore you don’t have a ride out there, walk. Seriously, I have no incentive to write this review, but I was the one comparing ratings and reviews and I didn’t have much luck getting an answer on which place is the best… so I’m really spelling it out for you.

Nothing but 5-star experiences with the owner. Great guy, super knowledgeable, and the reason I really caught the vision and went bullish on precious metals back in July 2024. 💪💪

I really don't know why, but the owner seems to have an issue with me for some reason. I stopped in on 1/10/26 to purchase some 90% dimes. They were quite busy when I stopped in, so I decided to look through the 50% off bins while I was waiting in line. I started to look through the rolls of buffalo nickels and wheat pennies, and I was standing there maybe 5-10 minutes when Ben, the owner walks over. At first, he asked me " So, are you seeing anything" , and I said no. He then asked me if I had anything on my person that I shouldn't have. In that moment, I was super confused and I was like "noooo". He then proceeded to put his hand in one of my pants pockets and then walked away. He did not have consent to touch my physical person and that is battery. This is actually not the 1st time this has happened to me. About 9 months to a year prior to this, I came in looking at the 90% dimes and one of the associates behind the counter grabbed the coins and put them out on a tray so I could pick out the ones I wanted. Again after a few minutes, Ben walked over (he didn't touch me this time) but again asked if I had anything that I shouldn't have and I clearly said no. I like coming to GMC, but after all that, I am very uneasy about shopping there because I feel like there's a chance that I'm going to be accused of theft whenever I stop in now. I have never been treated this way and I'm not putting up with it anymore. I will NEVER, EVER frequent this establishment again.

My brother (who's an avid collector) and I (occasional collector) have visited this store for years... absolutely the best. The whole crew is extremely friendly and very helpful, and their prices are more than reasonable. Amazing selection and just a 10/10 experience all around. Great place!!!

Perfect! Honest, Polite, Helpful, Professional, Knowledgeable, all of it. Visited several businesses before finding Greater Milwaukee Coin, none of the other stores that I had visited where able to help with my unique situation. Greater Milwaukee Coin was not only able to help me, but they we excited to do so. They went over all of the details with me, both to ensure that I was satisfied, and also out of pure personal curiosity. The process was fun and it gave me confidence that I was not being cheated. So few companies are family owned at this point, and those that are will very often not have the resources to assist with unique or difficult issues. I almost dread having to venture out to "brick & motor" businesses at this point, but my experience at Greater Milwaukee Coin not only fulfilled my needs as a consumer, but actually had me excited to continue our business together. I found myself enthusiastically looking forward to returning to their store, which for me (and likely for most people) never happens, at least not in the last twenty years; post great recession and post covid having culled most decent family owned businesses. Very happy to know that not all the good independently owned companies are gone, and Greater Milwaukee Coin is a great example of what a consumer transaction should look like. So, thank you to Greater Milwaukee Coin for a great experience. And to those reading, +5 stars.

This place is amazing, very nice people and the lady who helped me was amazing too, although she did offer me 70% for my gold :/ which is a kick in the nuts. I said 80% because that’s way beyond fair, usually good dealers give 90-95% but if you get these low ballers 80% is the way to go, which is ok. She was a bit aggressive I do like that because I was aggressive too, what I don’t understand was they said my gold was 22k when I had it test before when I got it and it was 24k I can’t help but feel like I got played but hey it’s business right? But anyways the lady gave me a trade for silver, with no premium which is nice and usually how it goes, they did get spot prices from apmex, which is lower than live spot, kitco is best way to go. If you come in selling gold, know what the hell you are doing or someone might take advantage of you. My read on this store, foxy but have great selections. I will definitely be back, with more knowledge;)
