Had great learning experiences at this coin shop. I wanted to learn about silver and was willing to sell some a bit above spot. He has a testing device / methods I trust and was able to verify purchases while sharing some knowledge to help me for when I do decide to collect more seriously. This is a great little coin shop! The owner is very chill and easy to talk with. He also knows his stuff and gives good chats. Even more, there is a lot of great vintage stuff that I like to see whenever I visit the store which includes the vintage coin machines, old cash registers, vintage calendars, wall art, and ephemera related to old Vancouver, Washington. I even had fun checking out some of his old Vancouver directories from the 1940's and 1950's which included the the cool business ads from back then. Please support this great little local business. Recently received a set of coins from my father's estate and wasn't really sure what they were worth. This gentleman was super kind and informative about what I had, and straight forward about what I should hold onto. He made fair offer for my coins and told me some fun stories while he priced things up. I absolutely recommend this location if you have coins to sell, you won't regret it. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I had what I thought were rare coins(they weren't), and Steve, the owner, explained to me why and answered my questions as to what would have made them rare. I had called before I went to ensure that the shop would be open. I know he's only opened for an hour each day, Monday - Friday, which may be a drawback. Don't let that stop you from making the trip.
