This guy is absolutely the best coin dealer in Washington state and maybe the world. He is honest and will always give you a fair price for your coins or gold. Me and my wife are very happy every time we do business with this shop.

My experience wasn't good at all as I knocked on the door. The owner was not welcoming at all and basically asked what I want and said my coin was worthless without even looking at it. I'm a new coin collector and I thought he would atleast attempt to sell me one of his coins, but no such luck! African-Americans are the biggest consumer spenders in this economy, but still some establishments miss out because they're lack of customer service and respect for all! I'm not spending my hard earned money where I'm not welcomed or treated fairly!!! ***Reply- My statement was true, but hopefully you'll due better with the next person of color and they'll have a better experience then I did!

I always enjoy working and shopping at Monticello Rare Coins in University Place. My experiences there are always worthwhile and the owner is very knowledgeable. I've been to many coin shops on the west coast from California, Oregon and here in Washington and I must say the owner and proprietor of this shop is hands down one of the nicest and most fair you will come across. I noticed a review about the customer service here and I can attest that you will get shown the same respect you give. Some people have a chip on their shoulder and see race and hate everywhere they look. My experience was nothing but positive; from an extremely fair price to a lesson in rare coins and investing. I will be back 100% and I recommend you at least give him a shot. They've got a great selection of coins. No junk on display. Thank you Harry for your time and knowledge 🙏

Monticello Rare Coins, Stopped in today on Presidents day! Had to get out of the house before cabin fever set in. Got to meet Harry the owner had a great totally pressure free buying experience, cant say enough good things about meeting Harry for the first time. He was friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and completely willing to barter. Heck the conversation we had along was well worth the buying experience, a ray of sunshine on a rainy PNW winter day.
