This place is amazing . My goal has been to become more comfy around guns and Curtis made the learning process so easy and warm. I went from sweating when I even thought about gun to being completely comfy and knowing what gun I want to own in a matter of days. What a fantastic place and staff.

I completed my concealed carry permit course today, and I cannot say enough good things about Curtis as an instructor. He took his time, was extremely thorough, and genuinely cares about the people he teaches. Curtis doesn’t just want you to pass… he wants you to be great. He wants you to truly understand the material, feel comfortable, and walk away confident in your knowledge and abilities. His explanations were clear, thoughtful, and incredibly well done. He encourages questions, gives constructive criticism, and creates an environment where learning and awareness matters. You do need to be open to feedback and willing to learn, but if you are, you will gain far more than just a certificate. Absolutely incredible instruction. If you’re looking for someone who takes this responsibility seriously and is invested in your success, Curtis is the instructor you want. I will absolutely be a regular at the range for all of the reasons listed.

Had an excellent experience at Superior Pawn Gun Range, and I want to specifically recognize Curtis. He checked me in for the range and took the time to help verify that the optic on my handgun was properly zeroed. What normally would have been a quick in-and-out range visit turned into multiple “hip-pocket” lessons on becoming a better shooter. Curtis was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and clear in explaining not just what to do, but why it matters. He covered handling, manipulation, and shooting fundamentals in a way that was practical and immediately useful. You can tell he genuinely cares about safety, skill development, and helping shooters improve. Customer service like this is rare and very much appreciated. I’ll definitely be back for training with Curtis and highly recommend this range especially if you get the chance to work with Curtis.
