SUCH a charming space and great selection :)
This store is the best, and dog friendly! I've gotten so many cards and gifts here and it's just a fun place stop into while on a walk or showing friends around town.
This was such a cute stationery store. It's located in downtown Alexandria, so it's a little hard to find parking but not impossible. They have a lot of unique products (stickers, fountain pens, bags, etc). The prices are on the high side but comparable to any other stationery store with handmade, unique items. I was on a slight time crunch so I didn't get to see everything, but I would love to go back again and spend more time.
I love coming to the Penny Post! It’s like a treasure chest full of office supplies. It’s a perfect balance of trendy and classic choices, thoughtfully curated. Beth always helps me find what I’m looking for and steers my daughter toward the very fun but reasonably priced stickers when I let her pick something out.
I visited Penny Post several times because I wanted make sure my first experience was not a fluke. I was so excited to have a stationery store so close to home, and I wanted to give it a fair chance. Unfortunately, each visit felt the same. The staff was rude and unhelpful. The manager in particular was condescending, and it made me so uncomfortable i left the store without shopping. The store itself is also difficult to shop in. It is often overcrowded, and many items are always out of stock. The layout feels cluttered, which makes browsing stressful rather than enjoyable. I really wanted to support a local business, but I will make the trip to DC to Jenni. If you value friendly service and a well-organized space, this may not be the right place for you.
