Arrogant, rude and unorofessional behavior by some people working here. Very disappointed in a business that has been around since the 60s or 70s. Openly taking advantage of people who are desperate selling silver to pay their rent. We were just getting values on coins and buying storage for our large coin collection. Worst business I have ever seen in Cville. Seriously. Overall really bad impression.

Update/Edit: Jefferson Coin is a class act. There is a reason I have an ex-wife, and as I said when I came in, I'm sorry for being so reactionary. Please let the employee I mentioned know that I regret being so harsh. You guys are great and I appreciate your follow up with me. Thank you! Chris

This is a great brick and mortar store. They are knowledgeable and have the ability to buy and sell consistently at very competitive pricing. They provide a live price board on their website showing both buy and sell price for many popular items...thats something a lot of larger operations don't even provide.

I've been going to Jefferson Coin for many, many years. Jim and his wife are two of the friendliest people you could meet and do business with. They're exceptionally knowledgeable about the numismatic industry, as well as the precious metal market. The rest of the staff are just as knowledgeable and easy to deal with, so you can go there and receive professional service in a friendly atmosphere.

We ended up going with Jefferson Coin because they offered great spot pricing. The sale was seamless, professional and we would absolutely go back to them again.
