There are a lot of shops there that are great and willing to sell you merchandise unfortunately this isn’t one of them. Very nice guy who works there, that being said I went to the shops and him two days in a row and tried to buy some stuff from him and even put cash on the table. He wouldn’t tell me any prices or make any counter offers, he just continued to switch topics and tell me story after story. I love talking to people but over the two days I was at the shops I probably spent two hours with him and he wouldn’t sell me anything which is very weird to pay rent on a shop and not sell anything to make money. Oh well maybe he just has a shop just to talk to people.

I've shopped from Southern Star Coins for at this point over one year, and I have to say, it's likely the best coin (and collectables) shop in Houston, the owner of the store, Tracy, is extremely passionate on the trade and gives extremely reasonable prices. Overall the store is amazing and will continue to be my go-to store for coins and other historical knickknacks.
