Johnny's Coins & Collectibles

I went to Johnny's a few weeks ago and have him take a look at my grandfather's coin collection. He was able to accommodate me on short notice, showed up on-time and showed a lot of knowledge about coins and such. He offered me a fair price, and he will be my go-to person for any future transactions.

Posting this as a warning so it doesn't happen to anyone else. This business operates by appointment only and the hours of operation are misleading I drove an hour, only to see the sign on the door. Highly disappointing as I've heard great things about the business.

I had inherited collectible currency, coins, and jewelry from my parents and I did not want to keep it. It's difficult to know where to go, who to trust, or what to expect when you start this journey. I looked online and read the little ads that come in the junk mail, but I didn't know how to trust someone with something so private. Johnny was recommended to me by a client of his who currently does a lot of business with him. This gave me the trust factor I was looking for. Contacting Johnny and making an appointment is easy. He offers a private office setting. located in a professional business area in McKinney, and the space is open and inviting. Definitely ask how long you should expect to visit -- he takes his time with you -- we were there for 3 hours. Time well spent! There is no pressure to do anything. He will make you an offer (in writing) and you can take it, or think about it. He's respectful of your feelings (for me this was very emotional), he's very knowledgeable in many areas and he will explain what does and doesn't have value and why. He's friendly, kind, and professional. After this experience, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

My siblings and I had some inheritance we needed appraised for selling. My sister searched high and low locally and found Johnny's Coin & Collectibles. From the first conversation it felt right. Today, she met with Johnny to trust in him with the last pieces of our Grandmother's items from her life story. While Johnny was patient, professional, thorough, detailed, and full of answers to our questions he was also transparent, genuine, personable, protective, & fair. He went well over the scheduled time and never rushed a moment. He even FaceTime me during the meeting since I live out of state. For something that was hard to start he made it comforting to close. Thank you, Johnny. In an industry that many only care about #'s you proved to be incredibly caring and professional. We are grateful for our experience with you.

Johnny also asked for photos to conduct a thorough review, which I really appreciated, as it highlighted his commitment to transparency. What impressed me the most was Johnny's willingness to accommodate our schedule by opening his office on a weekend. This flexibility made a significant difference for us. I had visited three other highly-rated locations in the area, but none matched the level of service and attention Johnny provided. I'm a born and bred Texan and I'll be the first to tell you, Johnny is one of the finest people and great Americans you could ever want to know! This guy goes FAR beyond fair and his customer service is top notch, first rate and second to none. He is dead set on giving the best deal he can. This man knows how to make lifelong customers, friends and aquaintences. He's a prince to have in your network if you're lucky enough to have his endorsement. He's a man that loves "doing the right thing" even if nobody's lookin'. You won't do better than Johnny, I don't care where you go.
